'Special people' who edit your code

All though we got it to work, it would have still been nice to just ask what is wrong. And he did attack you i don't deny that but if you think about your words you sound like a dick at first. Plus making a thread about this? You could have just let it go. You both are at wrong in your own places.Edited"Kindly" well if you check he did ask nicely what was wrong.
The wording Bob use could have been better but he doesn't sound like a dick to me in any way. Since the creator of the ticket didn't give him clear information he was trying to find out what exactly the problem was by asking what he has been modifying. Sounds to me that he was even going to help with the modification. They are not both wrong, Bob hasn't done anything wrong. And I fully understand why he created this topic.
I bet that the error was actually the bracket as said in this topic.

That is not his responsibility. When someone says that they edit it and then it does not work, then they are most likely not going to help you. You are luckey he even tried. You all feel entitled to support even when it is all problems are caused by you. Content Creators hate people like that. He handled it the way all creators would, so don't say "it was wrong" because it wasn't.

This all coming from the user who went on Bob's script page (without even owning it) and pettily posted...
Expect to get shit on from the script owner if you try to edit the scripts colours.
I think you've lost, your arguments make no sense and you're just annoying.

I do see that my wording could have been better, but as you said, i didn't sound like a dick, and at least to me it looks like im actually asking what is he trying to do.

Funny, i was the one who purchased the script and gifted it to Keith.

Still doesn't change the petty posting considering Keith is the one using it, not you.
This whole bloody thread is just pathetic. It was unnecessary and it really doesn't prove anything.
For me, Bob saying:
U edited in a bad way, why do you need to edit it?
Was actually kinda dickish. He automatically assumed I edited it in a bad way, which I can assure you all I didn't. However, since Bob is well-known on here and is a content creator, you will take his word for it, not mine.
I replied to the ticket and tried to clear things up with Bob. I believe he was at fault, and he believes I was. There's no real winner either way. I hope this thread can just be removed and maybe in the future, content creators can be a little more polite in their Tickets. If we're giving you money for your content, I think we deserve a bit of respect.

I was dickish? Hold on before i say anything else regarding me being dickish.
- Logically speaking, if the script works and you edited it, just changing the colors, even without any actual development experience do you honestly believe the script will error because the color was changed?
- I am definitely not well known, i doubt 80% of the guys responding even knows me XD.
- You edited core files of the script, and asked for help, you didn't give any real information regarding what you were trying to do, or even what lines you edited..
- "If we're giving you money for your content, I think we deserve a bit of respect." - My god, this approach again, You decided to pay me 5$, so i currently owe you my life. I'm sure most of the content creators feels this approach from customers, demanding you to answer tickets faster, and thinking that you owe him his soul because he paid me 5$.
- (basically adding up to 1) " Was actually kinda dickish. He automatically assumed I edited it in a bad way," - OF COURSE i automatically assumed you edited in a bad way, IT ERRORED.

The script works fine without any edits, then you tell him that you edit it and got an error. I think it is more than logical to assume that your edit broke it and would result in a question what the edit is. There is in no way anything that could make this a bad response. If I would change something on my car then it would get problems and I would go to the garage. When I tell them I changed some things on it myself they most likely will check that first and ask what I exactly did. And then after that I would say that I don't know anything about cars. Basically what the garage would say/do is a bad response according to you but I cannot understand why.
You are asking for respect, but this has to be mutual. Just because you pay for a small product doesn't mean you are their boss and they should obey you.
Please rethink your response next time and just admit that you are in the wrong now you still can.

I was asking for a LITTLE respect. I wasn't saying he has to kiss my feet. Jeez. I'm just saying, if someone has paid for your product and you offer support, you should be professional about it. Even if you believe that person is an idiot or whatever you'd like to think. It's just common decency.
And there's nothing to rethink. It's your opinion against mine. There's no real right answer here. I have no reason to admit that I'm in the wrong, as I do not believe I am. Just as you believe you are not.
Edited And if I believe Bob was being dickish in his answer, then that's my opinion in which I am entitled to. His response could've definitely been better, and so could mine. In all honesty, I did not mean it to sound somewhat hostile. I have been stressed, and I acted stupidly. Which I do admit to. But that's no excuse to make a thread like this, shaming me for everyone to see. If he would've at least blurred out my name, like a decent person would've, I wouldn't be so angry about this all.
I'd say we're both in the wrong here and we should just put a stop to it now. There's no need for any of this to carry on.

How do you not think you were in the wrong when you obviously were. The "right answer" is that you were wrong and should not have edited it.
This is why you don't edit your scripts kids!

Bob really did not do anything wrong here to be honest. All he said was that you edited it wrong and then asked what you were editing. What I see here is that you got sensitive that he said you did something wrong ( which you did ) and then blamed him for your issue. You should not complain about this thread, you shamed yourself here. I also don't recommend perpetuating this discussion with some kind of compromise, just disagree and move on.
Again, these are your opinions. Doesn't mean shit.

They actually are not opinions, they are facts. And the fact is that you edited a script and screwed up.
Gonna close this thread. Keith and his friend were in the wrong, it's as simple as that.
Closing thread.
