GMOD Death
Do you guys think Garry's Mod is starting to die or is it the gamemodes were playing that is starting to die. Everything just seems so boring nowa days. All the servers are the same. Post your opinions in the comments!

People have been saying this since 2012..
I personally believe gmod will still be going strong even when S&box is released. I think eventually a large portion of the community will move on after a year or so after release, but until then it's good.
What an idiot to pull up peak stats, if you had a brain, you'd look at the average over time which has increased which is obvious as more people gamed until recently where fluctuates.

I think the reason people constantly say "oH mY gOd GmOd Is DyInG" is because RP gamemodes are taking over and the other gamemodes have less people.
Having gmod be my main and mostly only income, I feel like it's something that kinda sits over me. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that, one day gmod will die. But I agree that gmod has life still kicking and will for a long while. If you're wondering why your server gets little players, it's probably because you're a tiny spec among "megaservers" that have already dominated the gamemode... Not much you can do but try and explore smaller gamemodes. Just my thoughts.

Gmod isn't going anywhere until that Sandbox thing comes out, and I belive that thing wont come out anytime soon and there is always a chance it can be ditched and become abondon project. Im rather suprised that no AAA dev team tried to make a Garry's mod clone by now considering everyone make clones of other games right now. sure there is lego world ( I guess that's how its called ) and Far Cry arcade, but nothing really can compare to Garry's mod.

And even if ''sandbox'' comes out eventually, I still belive Garry's mod will have a decent ammount of players still playing it.

All Garry's Mod really is is an abstraction over the Source Engine (with Lua). That's the beauty of it, I've never seen a game that was this moddable and let you do so much. That's my reason for why I think it's lasted so long as why it will continue to last long far into the future.
