Who is EJ207??

Hey ! I'm EJ207 ( Roger H. ) .. I am 25 years old, I have two kids that I raise every day. I have a son and a daughter, he is two years and my baby girl is 3 months.

I have been doing software development since I was 16. I started with .NET C# and found my way to Web Development when I was 20. What got me into development was making game save modification software for the X360. I made a number of applications back in the day in regards to X360 game save modding software, example Grand Theft Modification.

  7. Python -- 1 year
  8. Google Maps API v3 - 4 years (Advanced mapping abilities, ask !)
  9. Google Fusion Tables API - 2.5 years
  10. Game Programming / Modification - ~8 years
  11. Garry's Mod - .5 years

Tech Experience

  1. Active Directory -- 2 Years
  2. Windows OS (XP, Vista,7,8,10) -- ~10+ years
  3. Windows Server (2008,2012) -- 2 years
  4. Linux Server (CentOS, Debian)-- 3 years
  5. Web Hosting (WHM/cPanel, Plesk, Hsphere) - 2 years
  6. Point-of-Sale -- 2 Year
  7. Networking -- 6 Years (Network Administration, Security, Cabling)
  8. Wireless Networking -- 6 Years (Wireless, Long Distance Point-to-Point networks, Wireless Security)

All of my experience I have done at a professional level in enterprise environments, as well as some independent work I've done through my LLC. I have ran my own business as well as worked for other companies, like Web Hosts (Supporting Cloud Hosting, Shared, etc -- IX Web Hosting), Contractors, Financial Institutions, etc. I do **NOT **use Wordpress, WIX, or anything like that when I code a web site unless that is requested by the client.

I take my work very seriously and i'm willing to help in any way that I can. Just ask !

Pricing

  1. Web Development is hourly. This is best for "custom work", regardless of genre. Please reach out for more information
  2. Standard Websites are a flat-rate (Home page, contact us, about, etc) (I CAN PROVIDE WEB HOSTING/DOMAIN REGISTRATION! - ASK!)
  3. Garry's Mod development - hourly
  4. Database work - Hourly
  5. Other technical computer work - Ask !

FREE QUOTES -- TURNAROUND TIME is estimated before a project / job is begun

CLIENT site Examples: fishercropcarebyair.com taffinair.com fisheragservice.com moveweight.net masterpresses.com

I also have desktop software I have written I could always provide the executables, and private web application software I have made that I could provide examples for but is patent-pending.

I am new to this site, but I hope to find some new clients here and do my best to fulfill the needs of my customers no matter what it takes !

If you really are 25, no offense but I doubt this part of the site isn't for you, you should be in actual freelancing sites and the most you should really be doing here is selling scripts, I've never heard of someone who has kids that takes time to do gmodstore jobs (cause this is a kitty pool compared to other freelance sites) for under minimum wage.

Example would be I make a couple hundred off full sites alone here, but in a real world freelance site I can make quad digits to actually benefit myself.

Then finally not to mention if you're been programming since 16 and you're 25 now why are you here but have no portfolio or anything really to show off but a couple of pretty easy to make sites? I'm just not convinced in your stories unless you can give us some real shit, most of us here are still under 18 and make sites to the modern edge while the ones you show kinda look like you made them a long time ago.

Freelancing sites are way too saturated. It's impossible to make money on Freelancer, Fiver, etc.

side note not related to communism:

Garry's Mod - 1.5 years

I've done a few jobs on freelancer and upwork and I don't even think I'm legally allowed to rn (cuz not 18) but it worked out when I showed my old portfolio, now I have people coming to me for work instead of me going to them. You just gotta get yourself out there in a freelance community, but not this one really there's not that much to be made from it, especially while taking care of a house, family, and job. Even as a side job this place makes no money for real world use really unless u make A class scripts that get 1000s of purchases within weeks.

He's my friend, we've worked on alot of projects together over the last couple years and I know him in real life. I told him to try posting his services here to help him with the living expenses of having two kids as he recently was laid off from the webhosting company he worked for in Columbus. So please give him a chance guys <3

Just saying he's better off finding a real freelance place cause you won't make as much to survive nor pay off expenses here than a real place.

+1 Why not give him a chance everyone has to start somewhere plus from what I have heard he is really good so don't hate on him when he is trying to support his family

I have been on Freelancer and Fiver..

I've bid on many jobs on Freelancer and never get the work. There are too many foreigners who can do projects for less, when really they earn more because their cost of living in X country is less and the dollar is worth more there.

I have done a lot of work locally here in Ohio for clients under my LLC like I mentioned. I'm trying to expand on my network and portfolio.

One of those sites, fisheragservice.com, does look basic yes. But that is the "home page" if you notice the top right, has a sign in and register. There is an entire CMS system and mapping software, inventory management, etc that I wrote from the ground-up that runs that multi-million dollar business. That job is done and paid for and has been.

He's 25 and has been doing this longer than you think. He's not "starting somewhere" lol.

Anyway you might be able to find some bigger communities who will pay you a decent penny for good work, so best of luck.

I appreciate the feedback from this community.

I can be found on the ICE Community Teamspeak typically if anyone would like to chat.

Honestly I'd say out yourself on other sites, youre not gonna get anything over minimum wage. If you do it won't last long and you shouldn't expect anything like that again anytime soon. Good cv tho

So putting every piece together here:

@Lunaversity is 100% right. No offence, but you should rather try finding sth on other platforms, even if you waste many hours you'll get more than with GmodStore. After 2 years of doing jobs and a few months of being Co-Content Creator I roughly earned 80$ (estimated). And honestly, for the amount of jobs I did this is nothing. You're too overqualified for jobs here (if your qualifications are correct)

@everyone giving a "+1" and defending him: First of all he's not being attacked, luna stated everything perfectly fine and is def. not offending him. Also the "+1" is useless, an actual +rep from the job section would be more worth, even way better: An actual Portfolio. From the times he stated above everyone could expect quite a huge portfolio of actual work.

@ej207_: As I stated above, you really really shouldn't try earning money here, it's really only for a minimum amount of money, asking for a hourly wage is also not good here. No one wants this, this is a platform where most of your customers are < 18 years old. No one really would ask you do to sth because they simply cant know how much time (and therefore money) you need. No offence, but this isn't a good place for you. However if you insist to stay here, do it, but you should really change your workflow to better fit this community. Fixed price spans for certain works is really important, an actual portfolio even more. Also be careful, many (really really many) customers here only intend to scam you. Be careful if you take job offers from people offering a ridiculous amount of money (almost anything above 15$ (exception gamemodes and maps). Also watch the +rep's they have. Someone with < 2 rep could easily scam you, where as with a growing +rep amount the probability of them being scammers greatly decreases. You do the work, you show them the work on a test/dev server (not hosted by them), they pay and then you send them the files, these conditions should always be enforced, otherwise you will likely be scammed. If you still need any help or in case you have questions: Don't hesitate asking me (on steam or via dm), I'm a very active Community Member, most people know me and I also know how almost everything works here, so I have no problems answering any questions for you or giving you my opinion, whether or no a job offer is legit and/or if the budget is actually a realistic amount.

Have a great day,

Momox

Look if you're saying you can't find freelance work you probably need to build a brand somehow whether that is through making a YouTube channel or something like a blog.

The alternative of course is getting a full-time job.

I find freelance work locally, but the work is few and far between. It pays OK when it comes along, however I was referred to this site by ICE. Freelance work online via "Freelancer" is a joke, maybe i'm doing it wrong there but that site also wants you to spend crazy money to earn little money at first. My effort is best invested elsewhere.

If anyone has any tips in regards to Freelancer or Fiver or any other sites of the same, i'd love to hear it.

I appreciate the feedback from this community. I intend on sticking around and seeing how it pans out. I'm not trying to get rich, just expand my network and help others.

Lastly, I do work full-time but I am currently not working until the 1st of the year so I am utilizing this time to expand my network and my skillset that also aligns with my interests.

Great community, much love going around. I have not felt "attacked", the constructive criticism and understandable skepticism is appreciated.
