The e-mail was never right, you ignore everyone who sends a request for help on it.

Because why should Matt have to waste time dealing with the users? There's a reason he recruited the moderation team. He has more important things to worry about, such as actually working on the site.

It's like a company. If you go to the store and you have an issue with a product you purchased, do you contact an employee in the store, or do you call the CEO directly? He has back-end stuff to do, hence why there's a team here. It's called going up the chain. I'm pretty sure the mods here have the same amount of tools and are equip to deal with most situations.

That's true, but so far there's no decent way for users to get in touch with moderators via the platform or log some sort of support request. The contact page should be more transparent about who to contact and why, and perhaps have some sort of form for alerting the moderators to its presence. It's fine that Matt would want to have an email for contacting him directly but I'd assume that a support email would simply go to everyone.
The next version of the site will feature 'site tickets' that go to the moderators.
