I cannot modify the ugly dframes that one of these scripts use and zero freedom of use.

I cannot modify the ugly dframes because I don't know the difference between client and server code that one of these scripts use and I have zero knowledge to learn coding to edit its look.
I fixed that for you mate.

Wow, that post really added to this conversation!
Edit: nvm makes sense for you to post dumb shit, you're a SUPtard.
Honestly, I don't mind DRM. It's your work so why shouldn't it be protected? You have every right... However, I only agree with it if its done right. In a non-obstructive way. Like maybe if it cant connect to the Server for some odd reason but they've done it before. It knows that and lets them off etc without just saying fuck this and completely refuse to work. I get that people paid for things and expect code. So this is where my views get a bit jumbled. I personally think if someone pays for something they should be able to get it. But I'm not saying that it should come standard. If someone PM's asking for serverside code, me, personally I would then give it to them after personally checking if the user is not connected to any leak sites etc.
I strongly believe that if your addon is good enough. Then people will actually buy your product. As if they can't get past the DRM they're for sure just gonna buy it. That's why VCMod and ARitz's work so well, because they're almost such an essential thing to every DarkRP server people pay for it as they just cant get a leaked copy. Anyway, that's my view on it.

Umm, i agree with you that content creators have every right to protect their scripts but why don't they make a DRM system instead of using SE? If they are lazy to protect their scripts then they shouldn't even think about protecting their scripts because they are "lazy"

Well not even big companies like Ubisoft do this, yes they have there own. But they also use this, and mainly rely on it. (source) And again. I didn't even mention SE I mentioned Aritz and Freeman and they both have made their own DRM system.

If you don't make your own OS you're too lazy and shouldn't think about using a computer.

Well, ARitz's remove his DRM with some apologize. And i'm sure that everybody know that freemmaann (like ARitz) is a nice guy and a good coder, his DRM is not just here for "protect" his work. They use it to improve their addons easier and let people know what they are doing with changelog. I'm complaining about DRM but not for this kind of script.
Also most of the server that use leak bought the script finally when they earn some money. I used leaks at the beggining of my server, and now i've 600$ spent on SF and probably 400$ on CoderHire. Any decent server bought script and don't use leak. But i can understand that when we start to create a server, we don't want to bought 200$ of script because maybe that the server will not work...

Snip
Do you know that we can update our script using ScriptEnforcer (or any other DRM system)? (I actually did it more than once)
Also, there is no valid excuse for people using leaks, if you don't have enough to afford a script, then find a free alternative, once you got enough money from selling VIP/premium packages, you can buy the script you want.
"We don't know if the server will work" is not an excuse to use stolen content.
As I've stated before, I can see why people use DRM, and I've also thrown ARitz and Freeman on a pedestal for doing it well.
I personally feel that if you create a good enough script with enough love, features, and constantly update it - then people will support you solely on that fact.
When my Matter Transferer got leaked back in the day, I was pissed, but then I saw I got an influx of sales. People had gotten it, tried it, liked it, and actually bought it.
Obviously not everyone does that, but I'm happy people enjoy what I create, and even moreso if they want to support me.

Some people are just too insecure these days about disguised positives. Hell some people lose more paying for SE than they do making money on scripts here.
MoonDRM>Scriptenforcer

considering i moved from moondrm to scriptenforcer ill have to disagree with ya there
Apart from DO constantly getting it's node attacked it was better since people didn't have to link their servers, it was your own private work so barely anyone knew how to crack it, pretty much no one tbh. And then with all DRMs the auto update feature was nice.
It was like there wasn't even a DRM in your script unless you visited the core server files, even then what gain do people have in there since almost everything was configurable. Surprised you gave up on an actual project to go to scriptenforcer.
