Offensive behavior on gmodstore
Hi. This is mostly a thread for a discussion on what people think about the behavior on the forums. I've been looking through threads for the last hour and I've not seen a single forum with more offensive and childish replies than gmodstore.
What do you guys think, fine or too much?
I myself find joy in it, gives me a good laugh when I see replies filled with hate :P

It's a script market, not a playground. Honestly I don't see the point of being offensive constantly. Pretty much just childish after my opinion.

I like gmodstore, it's real - there is no bullshit PR-PC filter on everything. People can say what they want, and it works because it's actually a pretty small community. It's also relatively B2B, so there isn't as much a requirement for total customer dick holding.

nobody does it completely intentionally. it's just the way it is. this community is toxic by default, and it is everywhere else on gmod. and nobody is "offensive" constantly, you are stereotyping and exaggerating. there is a friendly community. you're just not part of it yet, evidently
While there are people who can be complete asses; I've seen a lot of good come out of the community as well. And a lot of developers who genuinely care about the situations at hand. So for me, it's balanced. Usually I'm not an asshole unless someone decides be one to me, or I get lied to, or played for a fool (IE: Ban appeals).

Also how is it possible that you browsed the forums for said behaviour for an hour yet this thread was made minutes after you replied to being made fun of ?
the word offensive is being used too lightly here - these forums are not "offensive" in nature, honestly
Just like billy said, gmod is probably one of the most toxic games you can possibly play, let's be real here, so if you take a market place that profits off of the game that has that toxicity level there's no avoiding it, so embrace it.
No one is really toxic here (the regulars and over at least) unless they think you're doing something retarded.
so if you have a problemo with it go find another community that's more professional, you'll never change how gmod is.

To get back on topic:
A lot of the people here know eachother to fair degree (especially the "dominant" members). Considering that gms is a main focus to a lot of us, you'd expect that. So what a lot of the less common users may see as toxic or offensive, is infact just 2 well established members of the community messing around with eachother with no real bad intentions.
Or I could be wrong and they could just be acting like huge meany bo beanys.
Honestly I think it's stupid how the site creators and staff members can just remove customer reviews. I understand there's tons of idiots, but that's just not how business works.

That's not only off topic and autistic but the stupidest thing I think anyone's said so far, even more than the paid mods killed gmod meme.
Some guy writes up a review, doesn't make a ticket or anything what so ever, got mad cause he doesn't know how to install the addon, didn't read nuffin, never made a ticket or anything, but I get a negative review cause of it, that's not fair what so ever, mods only remove reviews by retards who don't make an effort to contact support or read instructions, there are a lot of valid negative reports out there, I'm honestly not sure why you're spewing shit like this
Not to mention in the real world, dumbass reviews are removed all the time, even on huge freelancer sites or trusted pilot

Staff are the only ones who can remove reviews, and we do it when it's unjust.
Same goes with ANYTHING else - reviews can be removed if they're unjust. So I don't get where you're coming from at all.
