-# Megathread: Suggestions and Updates

#81

Something that I would love is what Facepunch has, which is when you click on an image it brings it up bigger and makes it the center of the screen.

#82

Not sure if already suggested but the ability to see users posts and threads would be great.

Also, for some reason, I am not able to close the rating list.

That's BBCode (or whatever the fuck it's called) editor, markdown has less and is shit (imoooo).

You guys should consider ditching markdown and getting BBCode

Edit:

BBCode and Markdown are p similar but BBCode is easier and less cluttering like Markdown is (imo though)

If they took a few minutes they could easily whip up some javascript to make images do what facepunch does.

But I get what you mean by cluttered sometimes.

We have considered replacing markdown, but we'll probably just end up editing how markdown works on SF instead. Replacing it will break everything.

Can we do something with the private messages where I can see all previous messages sent using the reply function? Makes it a pain to try and go back to find the original message that I sent.

I have been thinking about that for quite a while, but those messages are not linked to each other by any other means than the name, so it's kind of tricky rn. If we do make it work like that we'd almost have to wipe all current messages to change the format completely to be honest.

Who cares about keeping messages. It's not like you're going to send secret FTP information and keep them there forever :v

I like the message system to be honest, it keeps the information saved for me so that I can go back in a later date.

I really think that would be a great idea to combine everything into one.

It would probably require a wipe of messages, but they might be able to re-organize their code and add a column or two to the table to make it work.

That's how it should have been done from the start, same way as this forum works, but it requires a wipe because messages are not connected to each other in any way rn

I feel like that people wouldn't mind if you're required to wipe it to improve it.

#97

I'm all for wiping the messages we have now, just give a deadline to when you'll do it so people can back up any important ones.

Since the community forums already have a small portion of the Xenforo Post Ratings, you should integrate this onto the profiles of ScriptFodder Community members to see: Test

and in that case, you might as well add in the rest of the ratings and not leave some out ;) test1

they have the Facepunch ratings, not Xenforo.

Well, I went with Xenforo considering that almost all Xenforo based forums have the same ratings and icons.
