Nodeblast good hosting company?
Has anyone used nodeblast before? Im trying to find a decent host. These guys have a 32 player bundle which is great but Im not sure if their service quality is as good as its price. Has anyone got any experiance with these guys? Or do you recommend any other hosts? If I see Crident kys pls
I have never heard of that company before
the website also looks like something Phoenix would make ngl
DDoS protection when u first start is just a huge scam.
Everyone wants "top-notch ddos protection" as they start their community as if they're going to be attacked the second they open. Just get a normal host for now and if it populates regularly upgrade.
I've used nodeblast and it isn't a very good host. I noticed high pings, so I traced the IP. It turns out their "New Jersy" location is in the Netherlands...
I use them for my community, I have no problems. I highly doubt their NJ goes to the Netherlands, I think you're talking out your ass there.

Mine are "TheNexusNation.com" ones.

This is due to the tool you are using to resolve the IP's. Our servers are definitely in New Jersey :) If you are seeing unreasonable pings, open up a ticket and send in a MTR.

While most hosts may be like this, our DDoS Protection is done by ourselves and our provider. We filter out common VSE attacks and smaller application based attacks that bypass our providers filters. This includes our own 10Gb Gateway server that can cache and filter attacks. As for our New Jersey location, a similar setup being being done within the next 24 hours.
We already run quite a few top ranking servers in Garry's Mod that get attacked daily.
Thank you for the interest also, if you require a test server we are more than happy to provide one.
No.
Nodeblast still has a lot of work to do and highly recommend not using them. They expect you to add .bsp yourself into the map folder instead of it being automatically placed through the workshop. It is definitely not easy to work around, especially for beginners who want to run a server.
Their support is alright tho actually and the people that own it are pretty cool.

Hi Mikey,
If that's the only issue you have then that's easily fixed. I'm not seeing any past contact from you regarding this so I'm unsure why you would say that. We have for some time had a workshop file downloader that is available through our panel.
If you have/had suggestions, feel free to contact me or through our ticket system and it will more than likely be implemented.

AFAIK, the GMOD side is better than the CS:GO side, I used to do GMOD but stopped due to it's aids community. They do have tools to assist newbies and have seen a few pop up on the Knowledge-base on how to use their new systems.
EDIT: I guess they do have it. RIP.

Yeah, no. The CS:GO community is way worse than Gmod...
Alright so keep in mind that im not a noob when it comes to running a server. I know what to do etc and installing the map manually aint an issue but the main thing im looking for is a strong server. Ive had nitrous before but for some reason, at the start its all good but then the server becomes more and more unstable and i dont know why it does. I thought some fucking 12 year olds kept ddosing me and they confirmed it but after that was dealt with it just got worse. So having a strong ddos protection is deffo needed and a strong cpu for the server to run on. NN was good but i had at least over 100 addons which ran smoothly at the start but then got slower and slower as time progressed

I'm not here to fill you with a bunch of great words to promote us, so all I can really offer you is a free test server for a week. If you are interested, feel free to open a ticket with us. We have recently started offering Steam Chat support, we will also soon be releasing a way to validate clients who use this.
Ill even admit our New Jersey location isn't up to spec as our UK location, this is the reason for the recent and ongoing upgrades. This includes our new Gateway and extra server.

It says either the E3 or the i7 chips are used. Is this assigned at random or is it country specific? Id prefer the servers being from the UK area as most my players are from the UK

Actually, your support tech blamed it on my ISP. I can confirm this is not true due to me having an NFO server and my ping being a consistent 30.

While I'm not going to reveal ticket contents, the website you are using to resolve IP's is out of date. The IP's assigned to our server did indeed used to be assigned to a Netherlands company. However, using an updated IP Geo locator such as http://www.ip2location.com/demo will show the correct location.
As you never provided an MTR, I can't exactly help you as to why your ping is high. If I remember you had 40-50 which if it was truly a Netherlands server you would have at least 90-100.

i7 chips are in our US location, we are looking to deploy a new node with a 4790k inside of the UK within the following 2 months. Our UK location has E3-1231v3 CPU's.

I understand that, but that isn't relevant to the server ping of which he blamed on my ISP.

Until we see a MTR, there isn't much more we can help you with. We have not had a complaint from any other person regarding pings so if that's what was said then it was a guess.

I'm not saying the ping is ridiculously high. I was just concerned because ping is a really big deal breaker to Garry's Mod servers due to the way they are ranked. I actually liked how my server performed and the processors you guys are using, it's just the ping of which pushed me over.
