How much should I pay for a F4 Menu?
I'd like something as advanced and beautiful as the Arivia F4 menu, but unique, with some custom stuff. How much do you reckon I should pay for something like that? for DarkRP.
$150-$200 is a decent amount if you're looking to hire a good developer with a non-poop design sense. Anything lower and they'll most likely rather just sell the F4 menu on the marketplace. Make sure you hire someone reputable with previous work to show.

Also, keep in mind that if anyone can really code, he won't waste his time doing jobs, he will make scripts, so hire someone with multiple scripts and pay him well.

I don’t know a single server owner besides corvezeo, or another top 10 server that would pay this much for an F4 menu. Let’s just be real here...

How much do you think, those server approxiametely get a month? Enough to afford a very neatly coded custom, private, fantastic looking F4 menu with a lot of features..
You could ask Neith, he is defenitely able to do the job for the right price.

This is a good amount for a decent looking one that's similar to ones on the market. Eris easily made me over 30 times as much as most private F4 menu jobs in the job section offer, so yes, scripts are often much more profitable than gmodstore jobs unless you find the right people.
Edited Look here: https://www.gmodstore.com/jobs/?search=f4
Very many of them are offering 20-40 max a lot of the time, an incredibly low figure for a skilled developer that won't waste your time.

Okay so you’ve further proven my point. Unless you get really, really lucky and are able to be hired by a top server (unlikely as most of them already have dedicated developers) you won’t see $150-$200 for an F4 menu. I’d argue that 90% of server owners would never pay that much for an F4 menu. So saying that high of an amount is a “good” price really doesn’t have much relevance to the majority of server owners.

If we won't see that much for bestseller F4 menu quality, we are better off not wasting our time and selling it on the marketplace instead.
Edited Hell, $150-200 is still very low compared to what good marketplace ones make.

I agree with this point. If a developer releases a really nice looking F4 menu that has the features most commonly requested in the jobs section and puts it on the market place, it’s bound to make more profit than any job could give. The F4 menus on gmodstore right now are pretty garbage honestly. However, you can’t expect to make $150-200 on any F4 menu jobs for the most part.

I think it's worth it to look at why people want custom F4s. To appear exclusive? Why be different for the sake of being different? So you can paste your server logo in the top in case your players didn't know what server they joined..? My opinion is that F4s that are used widely across multiple servers improve user experience because the players already know how to effectively use the menu from their experience on other servers. But that's just me.

I know this is a joke, but please don't... He might take you seriously and then we will have another thread of someone complaining about him doing shit jobs.

You're not paying for an F4 menu; you're paying for someone's time. Time is money, and a non-poop F4 menu can take a couple days. If you're not willing to hire someone with actual experience, lower the budget or use one off gmodstore, that works fine.
If you're asking for an F4 Menu that's 'As advanced and as beautiful as Arivia' then you gotta consider how much money a developer could make selling that as a script.
That's why the pricing is high.
