Looking for a funder

Last read Never

Me and my friend are looking to open a Garrys Mod DarkRP server.

We will need around £160 but we will be willing to give all the money we get back to the funder until they make £160, how ever we will need to take out around £5 each month for server hosting (NOTE: the £60 of the £160 will be 1 year of hosting if it takes longer than a year to make £160 back we will start taking £5 every month for hosting)

If you would like to know any other information please add me on:

Work for it. It takes at least some skill to run a decent server. If you've got this skill, you can easily use it to make some money here on the job section. You have no proof you'll make £160 back, you have no proof you're able to run a server and it just sounds like a bad deal.

Don't take all this too personally, but nobody in their right mind will give you ( a random person on the internet ) £160 to start a DarkRP server.

You do have a good point but i have had a gmod server but i didnt have much money at the time to be able to get the server very far and i fully understand what you mean

Name us one reason to give you money.

Show us a concept, or an old server, whatever, proof us that you are able to make a good project.

Btw: A lack of money as a Server Owner is in my opinion already enough to say, dont even start. You need money, skill and time. Any of these 3 missing = Stop it.

The fact that you'd even consider buying £5 hosting alone counts me out. Shows you have no common sense.

so your asking for an investment where you only make your money back as long as you guys make £160 in donations in your first year, otherwise we have to pay £5 each month for your hosting? I'm sure people would love to give you free money, you need to find a way to pay for your hosting yourself. For this to be a legitimate investment, you need to: prove you can own a successful gmod server, offer (rather than take) something for the investor.

You guys are talking as if someone were to invest or there is a possibility of someone investing. No one is going to invest any amounts of dollars into anyones garry's mod server but their own.

My point exactly, nobody is going to donate money into a stranger's Gmod server. He made it an investment when he added stipulations to receive money back, a bad investment at that.

We'll give you a loan for 51% of the company. And every $1.00 you make, $0.99 will go towards paying off the loan. Once the loan is paid, it will go to a 25% royalty.

I'll only do it if you get the approval of 4 other investors who are willing to go in on this deal.

And that's pretty generous... I just valued your gmod "company" at $313 USD and it's not even started yet.

I have never seen someone ask for money to start up a Gmod server, you probably should have money ready before you start to think about a server

ill go in if you go in richard

Is this a joke? You don't seriously think anyone will give you money or should right?

Hey everyone, Can I please get $160 just for free? I promise I'll spend it on good things!

So, let me get this straight, you are asking us to invest £160 just so we could maybe get those £160 back within a year or so (doubtful).

I don't think you know what investing means. Have an interest atleast. I wouldn't recommend lower than 20%. A contract would be needed here aswel to protect the investor(s).

Begging people for money without them gaining anything and not having any proof you won't just take it and runaway is absurd.

Don't know what you were thinking when you made this thread, or even came up with the "investing" idea.

Anyways, this is closed.
