Forum Creation / Map editing

Hello! With Thanksgiving coming close, I have plenty of free time. With that, I'm willing to offer my services!

Tired of boards.net or wix?

What I can do is create a professional forum using any preferred software! MyBB, vBulletin, Xenforo, etc. Although most of my clients have shut down their communities, I do have XML files that you could preview upon request. Here is one forum I have set up and created to my client's preferences. Please contact me on Steam if you have questions or want a quote! The typical prices range from $20 to $80! I will provide daily updates. Don't trust me with your FTP? That's okay! I can upload everything to your preferred uploader (MEGA, Google Drive, etc.) for you to download! Don't know how you want your forums to look? That's fine as I can provide several designs and suggestions!

Have a map that needs to be finished or edited for your needs? With 3 years of experience of Hammer and several maps uploaded to Workshop. I am able to take on the job! Below will be albums of maps I have worked on!

  1. rp_sheep_v2
  2. rp_denon
  3. rp_sector_7
  4. dm_transit
  5. rp_shinkansen

Although I am free, I do have several projects! Please let me know what you need and timeframe so I can give you an estimate! Thanks for reading :)

Ok I want to give you my opinion :

First of all charging $80 for setting up a software which comes with easy instructions is way too overpriced. $20 at max for setting it up, adding themes plugins and forums + groups is what I'd consider as ok.

Your maps look pretty nice, I'm just curious why you're only saying you do edits or finish maps? Are you also able to create maps from scratch? Just asking because it could also be, that you actually can't create any good maps and all your good maps are only small edits. Dont get me wrong but you should clarify that because other people may also think so.

Anyways, good luck and best wishes.

Maps look somewhat promising.

Mapping is a profession which some people take very seriously, and I would suggest that you concentrate on your mapping rather than dipping your toe into something that nearly everyone can do.

Best of luck with this.

What plenty of people request is they would have old plugins or themes that don't work with their current version (I.E. a xenforo theme/plugin from 1.2 causing issues with 1.5.x). I would make it compatible or completely rewrite for it to be acceptable.

As for maps, I am able to create from scratch. I'm currently in the process of recreating Rainbow Six: Siege into Garry's Mod (Gamemode). In the process of creating "House" & "Border". I'll provide screenshots in the future when I have an acceptable showcase! As for edits, it would be up to the requestor as it can range from overhauls to optimization. I am also able to port maps from other source games into your preferred gamemode (RP, TTT, etc.). The reason I said I can do only edits/finishes are due to the tons of projects I divide in time.

That's cool. Mention that service

I'll lick your feet if you'll do that

That's what we wanted to hear

Good luck

Hi, I have created a map but have been having many issues. Would I be able to hire you to come in a call and help me resolve issues?

Hello, just posting a quick update as I haven't posted in months. I'm currently on vacation for a month and won't be back until the 17th. I wanted to share what I have done before I left.

For the website work. I always do the basic setups for everything (SSL, emails, etc). I always offer to throw on an HTML5UP homepage as well.

ExCsDeeGaming wanted a clean Xenforo 2.0 space theme on the UI.X framework. Crushed Gaming wanted a IPB theme to match their logo. Following everything they want from a checklist. BlueCastle is currently down for maintenance but will return when I come back from my vacation.

All clients wanted the installation/setup within 24 hours, which was no issue. With every job, I always provide a walkthrough on how to operate the forum ACP.

With maps, I actually helped the person above me with his map. He had plenty of issues and questions regarding Hammer. You can check out his first map here.

Another client wanted a retexture/creation job for his SFM movie. Below are some screenshots of the maps he needed done.

Edit: Forgot to include Almaden, a map ported from Insurgency.

Sorry not to be rude but you can download those themes everywhere. All you did was just change the background which you can easily do in the settings. Honestly, you are charging people for work that someone else did, all you did was drag and drop. Stick to maps man.

this theme https://revivalservers.com/index.php is this https://www.themehouse.com/xenforo/1/themes/ui-x-dark

this theme https://excsdeegaming.com/forums/index.php is this https://www.ipsfocus.com/themes/uniform/

If that is true, do the clients know you just installed it for them or did they ask for a custom theme? Either way the mapping looks fantastic so keep up the good work!

Yeah those themes were requested by the clients, never said I made them. I set up websites/forums based on what they say to me. My previous post is just telling you what it is. A lot of people who came to me in the past couldn't figure out Cpanel or Filezilla. I simply guide and do the work for them.

The two clients (Crushed & ExCe) requested a theme and I provided that theme to them. Personalized it to their liking as told. As I work, I link and explain to everything I'm doing. Every client is aware of what they are getting. Also thank you :)

edit: fixed a spelling error edit #2: forgot to mention revival. The owner gave me a checklist and website example of what he wanted his forums to look like. It looked extremely similar to UI.X I showed it to him and decided to use that theme for his forums.
