Hi there,


My name's Austin and I'm currently making a custom addon for a server which the Owner of has given me permission to develop it for the GmodStore.


The Addon:

  1. The addon is an AdminMode script where if you do startadminmode in console you will be changed to the selected team from the config file (Defaults to TEAM_STAFF_ON_DUTY). and when you do quitadminmode you will be returned to your last team.
  2. The addon also blocks commands except for playerpickup in ULX (Will develop support for other adminmods in the future).
  3. Game support, if ULX isnt in the server the adminmode will still work but not perfectly.
  4. The addon is totally configurable from the console and chat command to the commands to block.


The Questions:

  1. Are server owners going to want this?
  2. Does anyone have other ideas for the AdminMode?

This doesn't look complicated enough for a stand alone script, if you were to implement it into a larger Administration Tools addon It would be a nice feature though!

Like Ben said, it's a good idea but it's too small for a standalone script. A package deal with more, smaller scripts would probably be a better idea.
