It's weird how freemmaann and The One Free-Man are 2 of the nicest people I've ever met and they both have the same name.

Momox got a point here, this isn't how real-life works, you can't beg for stuff and as a reason give : "i'm poor".

If you're poor you should probably have other priorities.

We all have other priorities, we all have more or less money but the point is, if you're running a gmod server your expenses will be much higher than $20, I don''t want to demotivate you but if that's an obstacle you should probably give it up.

Freemaann is one of the nicest people from this community I've spoke to, if he hasn't replied to you it's probably because he's busy or he can't help you, in which case I still doubt he'd "ignore" you, he's not like that.

You should also have other priorities than VCMod, like Lapin said. I don't really belong to the "richer category" myself but I still feel that $20 is affordable if you really want to run a server.

My opinion on this matter is that there is nothing wrong with asking for a discount. Low on funds or not, it's not for us to decide what your spending priorities should be.

You may be right, but I'm unsure as to why you would bring it to light so clearly on the forums, especially in a thread like this. It's more an unspoken rule, which I am unsure as to why it is no longer against the rules. I'm not a moderator nor have I ever been so I can't comment on why the rule was changed, but based on first hand experience I can tell you it was once against the rules a few years back. Peaking your profile (and iirc a comment from kanal in a response to another questionable comment of yours a few weeks back) I can see that you've tried to sell here before. So if you have intent to produce commercial content then why would you 'expose' and 'promote' such a stupid comment?

If you have a server which generates an income by using a significant amounts of leaks (and this is proven) you are very likely to be banned...

The site and its content creators are not going to take it lightly if you are freely using our commercial work for personal gain. That is an obvious no-brainer.

I'm hoping Lemonnaise's comment was just poorly executed satire or sarcasm.. Anyhow I feel more distressed about the fact Jupiter hasn't managed to make the $20 in a whopping 209 days. As nice as freeman is I doubt he'll give you a discount, not because he's money hungry but because if he gives you a discount for openly making a forum post about it everyone'll try doing the same thing and it'll be a pain for every party involved. Shoulda spent those 200 days more wisely :/

There's a difference between 'not being against rules' and actually being illegal, just like pirated warez. It's not widely enforced because we believe that most people mix and match, but if you're an ass about it chances are we'll swing the ban-hammer anyway, as is our right.
