New interesting MySQL System for developers?

So how exactly is it easier editing mysql credentials with this?

A friend of me just released a new open source addon:It's called CDB (Central Database Mod):With it you can create Database pools and use it in addons. This makes editing your MySQL credentials a lot easier. It's kinda hard to explain it to you, you better check out the Git and see it for yourself ;)So for example: You create a DB-Pool in the CDB containing all your MySQl credentials and you can simply use this pool in every addon by calling it with the "CentralDatabase.GetPool( String poolName )" function.Just thought it might be helpful for some of you developers and you might want to integrate it in your addons :PHERES THE GIT-LINKThat's it.~Momox

Cuz this isnt the same as what SQL Credentials are

you only need to edit the mysql credentials in one place instead of in all addons you got...

The Addon uses the poolname as connection property and the CDB knows the credentials ...

For example you got 4-6 Addons with MySQL Database and the credentials for the mysql-system changes cus you lost the password to someone else or.. whatever... Change it in one place instead of 4-6 places...

And even more complicated as you need to use the name of pool additionally.

EDIT: What if there are similar rows/tables whatever they are and the problem will be that they will be conflicting, or i like to sort everything to its own db? And this doesn't give any pros to use imo because most of the addons would need to use this for it being usefull.

Yeah, Momox is right, use it or not - its just a random idea.. our scripts uses this system cuz its simple and i dont have to copy&paste this mysql-connection-thing again and again and again and again...

Doesn't matter if you say people should just "use it or not". It's questions and criticism, and if you're releasing it to the public be prepared to have to answer them.

Yeah and we stated our answers. We accept your criticism and we answered your questions, but some of those questions could've been avoided. Thats it.

I dont think "use it or not" is an answer.

Not at all how you handled this thread, but whatever.

Should probably be able to use the pool, but also have an argument to use another database, since most addons require different databases because of tables with the same names, and it generally is just more structure that way.

Without that, this is basically useless
