Do you recommend this locations for hosting?
I want to use GMC hosting, but Texas Dallas is sold out, how good is Montreal in Canada? FOr me its horrible since I'm Norwegian. But my playerbase is US and I want to offer a decent ping (ms) which don't lag out players.
Do you recommend Montreal, Canada location? Or do I perhaps need to find another gmod hosting alternative?

Depends on what you're looking for to be honest. I'd assume the Canada location has the same hardware. I haven't used GMC but I typically get decent ping to Canada from California. As far as alternatives I can recommend Crident but I don't think they currently have any US locations and their Montreal location is sold out.

No shit they don't have US locations yet. So why bother suggesting them? OP already stated he has a US playerbase and NFO is good at hosting gameservers.

Just because you have a playerbase in US doesn't mean you need a server in the US. You can get near perfect ping to a Montreal server from almost anywhere in the US. Perfectly playable. I'll suggest whatever the hell I want.
EDIT: Not to mention clearly he isn't hardset on a US location as he asked if people would suggest/recommend having a Montreal location.

Don't make me die.. We used nfoservers back in days (shared box servers tho) it was terrible, at 32 + witht he best shared it lagged. However I got a better optimized server now than before, regardless I have some hardass biasd options on nfo.
I don't wanna hate nfo, they are cheap and VERY good for small servers 24 slots, but I wanna aim towards 32+

Correct. I asked for server hosting suggestions and experiences with Montreal locations. I could try out Montreal locations but this kinda scares me.

We also recently opened our own Location in Dallas where we operate our own network (AS19186) and own all of the hardware. We are currently moving all of our current clients from our US East location to our new Dallas location.

Aren't the owner of Crident an asshole towards customers? Facepunch kinda spoiled that hosting company for me.
US hosting? What about Hexane Networks?

Probs unlucky I guess, we ended up moving from shared -> dedi because it was more cost effective overall, but we didn't come across anything near that bad.

Our customers don't seem to think so. That sounds like something another host would say, trying to avoid you going with us because we're crushing it. There is a dedicated thread to this stuff here - which is a better place to discuss this stuff
Edited As a side note - you can try out Montreal risk free with our 24h trial here: https://crident.com/test-drive

- I have never had any negative experiences with Crident support/staff nor has anyone I know had any issues either
- As an American on the west coast I can vouch for the efficiency of their Montreal servers. I use it for my server with 50+ addons and up to 36 players on a pretty unoptimized gamemode and the machines can handle a lot more than that.
- I can not speak to the efficency of GMC Montreal servers as I've never hosted with them due to some horror stories here and there.
- For more on-topic discussion of individual hosts, see the hosting thread sticky
Transparency: I work for crident in the support side. Before I worked there I used their 75% cpu server for a 30 player 200+ addon (yes i know, i just ran the web side of things not anything in game) and I have no probelms with ping. I personally live in virginia and typically that would make my ping a little on the lower side. My ping was around 40-60 with generally no inconsistencies. This was also tested on my very very poor internet in virginia.
Before I moved (which was around a month and a half ago) I've test drove their server and bought the server I talked about previously. My ping was slightly higher (50-70) but overall everything was butter smooth.
Not to mention the panel is god tier (papa bless trixter).
If you get the chance, I would definitely use crident. Again, to be transparent, I work for and use their service.
I've used GMC for one of my previous ventures and I can honestly suggest them. The support over at NFO is the single best among any of the server hosts I've been with, but GMC's hosting was just better. It ran much better and had many more options for control. On the off-note, I've not hosted any games with them, but is Amazon AWS worth it for any major GMod servers? I've used them when I was with my company, but I haven't seen anyone really mention them one way or another except for their "free" options, in terms of GMod.

If you're looking for a server in Montreal - you can test your ping or your player(s) ping on this test server 158.69.56.77:27015.
We've got a couple of large communities with 60+ players on our Canada location and the players and owner have reported good ping for the US coverage.

That person hasn't used our services. Thanks for the heads up, I've reported the review. It seems someone has been making a decent amount of fake reviews on our TrustPilot & HostPicker recently. I'm sure you're fully aware of this, though ;)
