Website Designer/Developer For hire!

I get where you come from. I was referring to the pricing as there is a massive difference. People charge anywhere from £100-200 for a complete site on here. My point was, in the "real-world" that cost is literally 2 hours work. I never once said it becomes easier?
People do charge low yes, that's usually cause most effort isn't put into sites here from a majority of web developers, but we're getting to the point where it's almost time to move out of mommies house so we gotta start charging real prices, which is why most of us (people I've seen: nooky, me, footsies) are starting to charge more realistic prices now for websites. No one should feel bad for it either, these kids are seriously rich to the dime, it'll take time to adjust but they'll get use to the price changes, and the good clients will understand the situation and respect the decision to go to a more realistic pricing field, cause let's be honest, they're our income and survivability in some people's cases.

Going off this and my previous post about skill, knowledge, etc...
If it was so easy that it only takes "two hours" then you would do it yourself. But most people can't and don't, so you pay for the quality you get.

You're implying very heavily that it is because it's Garry's Mod related. Also a "complete site" can mean literally anything, as I can charge upwards of $1,000+ for a complete site, but that's something that involves custom forums, features, donations, etc. all designed from scratch, maybe using a CSS framework for layout and other basic things. Also you're paying for knowledge, effort, time, and skill. Not just "time". The sooner you guys get that through your head, the better off you'll be.
I work in an agency full time, I'm aware of the process and the differences

Yes cause pricing isn't as different with many of people anymore...
Looking at some of the most recent 'web' related jobs on here, I'm not seeing many that are that close to 'external' pricing.

Most jobs created by people here usually get negociated to a higher pricing, I myself never really go to the job section cause like most developers we get ourselves recognized and people come to us, I've been doing jobs at a fairly similar price to real world pricing for a while now and people do have a tad bit of a problem with it but once their product is done they're pretty satisfied.

Jobs can be posted by anyone, and are most of the time posted by people who have no clue what they're talking about.
Most private jobs I've done or advised on have been in the more regular price ranges.
Why does it matter? I work for a "real-world" web company while doing gmodstore and selling gmodstore scripts. Yes, you get paid a lot more when doing website for businesses. The gmodstore jobs section is business to individual or individual to individual. Even my startup can charge $3k for a damn wordpress setup and re-skin. That's not something you see on here, and for good reason. An individual doesn't have the means to afford that.
This is why I refuse to do website jobs on the jobs section here. Kids are offering $30 for a complete website because obviously that's all they have. When I work with businesses, those jobs can start at $1,000 and go up just for a week's worth of work. There's no way I'm doing an entire website for $30. But that's not to say that the same care and consideration shouldn't be put into the job. It's just the "audience" budget.

That is exactly my point. There's a big difference between actual client work and jobs on here. I'd go as far as saying you can hardly compare real client work to completing web jobs on sites like this (isn't an insult to gmodstore). People who are good web devs on here should branch out and see that they can make a lot more.
This escalated quickly haha! I pretty much doing it for free as little projects at least some people see where i am coming from. No matter what you try and do for the community there will always be someone to say completely negative things and nothing positive. We all start somewhere.

Stop trying to brush it off as "meh haters" - it's criticism. Take it or leave it, but don't try to play it off like you were attacked.
Seriously what is your problem? I'm trying to do good for the community and gain skills. Best if you just stop. I'm doing website for multiple people now so i've got what i wanted. There is a difference between criticism and trying to put someone who is new to things down. You came here saying how bad it was. Yes it's not perfect far from it but at least i'm trying. There is no need to comment anymore you've got your points here and i appreciate your feedback.

I don't have a problem, however you're posting in a "hire me" section which I moderate very extensively. If you're not here to put effort out then there's no reason for your thread to exist. Again, you're taking my criticism way too personally, and I'm not going to sugar coat it.
Don't expect everyone to coddle you.

Okay have a nice day good sir :D
Alright based on your attitude and inability to take constructive criticism I'm going to close and archive this thread. Regardless of whether your customers are "real world businesses" or "Garry's Mod server owners" you should be putting the same care, effort, and time into it.
Your posts in this thread show you have no interest in doing so.
Closing thread.
