Do people still use TeamSpeak?
Major servers uses it and I was wondering if I should move on from the old tradition and use the new and modern Discord or stick with TeamSpeak as it has much more functions. Do share some thoughts.
They do, but they're not people, they are dinosaurs.
Discord > Teamspeak any day imo. The only thing that sucks with Discord is how basic the permission system is. But it works, so can't complain.
I do understand why some communities and people still use TS still with all the effort they put in their servers with styles, channels, custom themes, etc.
But Discord imo is better choice nowadays obviously, free server hosting, almost everyone is there now, updated frequently with some nice stuff and so on, but then again discord is missing some features like merged voice and text channels like on TS ( I know it's rather simple to check where someone posted something in chat, but wouldn't be cool that you're instantly directed to the chat that's linked with the Voice chat or something? ) also I would love that they make user profiles a bit more interesting now since they added store.
I would recommend using Discord over Teamspeak any day. For starters discord is 100% free and is way more easy to setup as well as use. Discord also implements things all the time, and listens to community feedback/suggestions here: https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/community/topics . Overall I would say that discord is the better platform, and even Developers seem to think that because they make official discord servers for their games. The number of official discord servers increases daily/weekly ( Verification Process ) and even youtubers use it for their official servers.
