Using InDesign/Dreamweaver for loading screens

So heres a question for those HTML gods, do you think its possible to make loading screens with these 2 programs? Since their purpose is used for websites and a loading screen is essentially a website, so would this all be possible just by using Indesign/Dreamweaver?

You could, in the same sense that you could eat soup with only a fork.

So its possible but the outcome will be shit basically? The only bad side Im thinking off is how to like get the players steam details like avatar and steam ID etc

I've never actually used them, but their use seems to be limited to designing actual websites. It would take more effort to get it to do what you want to than just doing it in straight HTML/CSS. No matter what you use you'd have to do the PHP/JavaScript manually to get player and server info.

why not just make it from scratch, I hate builders making things from scratch lets me have full control along with complete knowledge of what's going on

Thing is stuff like indesign makes making sites so much easier. I don't know HTML code well but I'm sure it'll take me 30 seconds to make a box with an image in it and make it a rollover which spins when you click it compared to having to code it manually. It just saves time and is easier I get what u guys means about how far into town you can go with using the application compared to coding it from scratch.

If you can't make a website without it then you shouldn't be using it.

I've never heard of InDesign being used for websites, but my (little) experience with Dreamweaver has been awful. I guess you don't know until you try, but you'll probably have better luck creating it (from scratch) yourself or paying someone to do it for you.

plus why are you making the most simplistic thing to make aka a loading screen from dreamweaver? I thought that app was mainly used for making actual sites.

Thing is ive used both programs. I used dreamwesver to create a basic indexing page for all of my A level work whilst in school and that was it. Indesign tho i was making webpages and ebooks for my A2 in IT. So i know how Indesign works in a whole I'm just wondering could i apply it to a gmod

Try something else, loading screens are over used in gmod along with over sold if you're thinking about it that way.

Nah I was seeing if I could apply my theory to something like those.
