Bought addon and nothing happened

I'm in serious need of a fix, I spend 40 dollars on addons and I don't even have the downloads to them.

Please stop being impatient and wait for the authors to reply to your pms.

Some people have real life to contend with.

It was literally 3 AM, no way in hell I could have seen it.

Anyway, taken care of.

We're currently having issues with our hosting provider. Certain features are currently under migration/temporarily unavailable and they affect how we store logs on the payment processing server, which in turn threw an error that cause the payment not to go through.

We've temporarily disabled that functionality meaning purchases will start going through again. However, payments that are made a long time ago (6+ hours) may not go through and will have to be assigned by the addon author. If your purchase doesn't go through and it's a recent-ish purchase you just need to wait. The wait could be up to an hour.

Maybe a suggestion if this is a common error or payment process takes time to put up a small warning message that this may happen and not to worry?

Yeah, we usually do this but it wouldn't be automatic detection. I was away and wasn't able to do it and so nobody else thought of doing so as they were busy trying to fix the issue instead.

I the end it isnt such a big deal since everyone will always receive their bought product.

But you dont really have to have a autodetect system. Maybe above every product there is an announcement bar. This announcement bar has like a thread title with a prefix saying something like [temporarily]. Add a button "I understand" or "remove announcement" button/link next to the announcement title so the announcement gets removed. And if they press the announcement thread it redirects to a forum post explaining the issue. If they have pressed the announcement title link it alse removes the announcement.

I can understand that new customers or even existing customers would panic if they pay anf dont receive their product right away or after an hour.

Anyway it may not even be needed.
