Garry's Mod - Crashing to desktop issue
Hello,
I'll try and make this as brief as possible.
Ok, from Monday the 29th of January, my Gmod has been crashing to Desktop. It has never done this before and my PC has the sufficient hardware to deal with it.
I've reinstalled the game, restarted my computer several times, validated the game files and it still crashes to desktop.

Yes I do.
Check all your drivers, firmware, etc.
Other games causing this issue? When does it happen in game, is it a specific server or all the time?
You could be running out of memory.

Checked my memory usage and it only uses around 30%. Only happens while in game but happens on multiple servers. All my drivers, firmware are all updated to the latest.

Do a memcheck just to verify, it seems odd that it seems to crash like that.
What's the error? Have you checked your logs?

Already ran the MSI software, 0 errors with memory however there are crash files in the gmod folder but under a MDMP file type which is encrypted.
Have you deleted your entire Gmod folder just to see if that helps? And I mean everything. Relaunching should create a base for it again.

Nope, reinstalled it still keeps on crashing.
Does steam cloud sync your launch options? If so, check that (if you don't know what those are, then nvm).
Edited also nook move to off-topic ya nerd
Has that issue with having TF2 mounted causing a crash been fixed? Unmount TF2 if you do.

Regardless OP, it's a little tough to do all this when you're just kind of expecting us to feed answers. You need to do some research, and testing on your own to figure out when exactly it happens. We can throw random trouble shooting your way but it's clearly not working.

I've just messed with a few settings and it seems stable now.
did you download 40GB worth of workship items
