SecureGMod, the long awaited DRM service is finally here. https://securegmod.com/drm/ SecureGMod is a DRM service which prevents customers from leaking your scripts. Our aim is to be as developer and user friendly as possible while still ensuring security measures are in place. https://discord.gg/sAHRZ8P

Q: How does it work? A: Simple! Developers have to upload the files to our site that they want to be secured, then simply put it in your GModStore release zip when you upload the addon. Server owners do not have to do anything besides put it on their server and restart or changelevel once the server has loaded.

Q: Does this work with autorun files? How about client? A: Yes to both! It's the same thing as running any normal file.

Q: Does this introduce a backdoor onto my server? A: No. The only code that can run is the code that was the code you downloaded. GModStore admins can also verify what code is running by going to our site.

Q: What does it cost? A: Developers will have to pay $15 every 30 days for access to the dashboard and to have customers experiences be non-interrupted.

Q: Does this work on local (offline) servers? A: No. Sorry.

If you have any problems or questions you can contact me on the discord via PM or in the relevant channel. Alternatively you can PM me on GModStore or Steam.

Very unreliable. My buddy and I managed to find a crack within a minute. And not only does it have a fast cracking speed, the price is extraordinarily high if you're paying per month and can crack it so fast. Sorry for the negative feedback, but this is NOT worth it.

There's nothing wrong with improving. Everything has bugs, there's always something that breaks or needs to be patched. Doesn't help the project by complaining. You can simply report to meepen how it's crackable and try to help.

edit: i made a fool of myself here, my friend was cracking a different thing but he linked me to this thread instead of the actual thing he said is easy to crack and i assisted him to see how it would work, however, he did find a crack for this one as well. i'll speak to meepen soon

What happened to fgdrm.pro?

It is still work in progress, our hosting company screwed us over and we sent them a letter telling them to get us back online.

Best of luck, as long as it doesn't go the direction SE did, hopefully it'll be alright. I still have a bad twitch in my eye from what SE did with just up and leaving everyone high and dry, so only time will tell.

Securegmod hasn't been even close to cracked. Good luck trying thought, cause it's way better than any other bad attempts at drm

Briliant. About time people had a proper solution.

Also, the minifier, holy damn..

Best of luck.

Would be interesting to know how it works. On what principal.

What would you like to know? I can't get really into detail, but I can try to answer your questions.

I believe it's priced fairly because of how much work is put into it as well as future support of the service. To compare, ScriptEnforcer was $10/month and had almost no features. If someone wants DRM on their addons then they can feel safe paying.

I understand. In general, how it works? I assume the local copy contacts your API to get a decryption key that is used to unlock the encrypted code?

Edited Also, I think it was a bit too soon to push this out. ScriptEnforcer, for what of an utter mess it was, did give plenty of information about, statistics, looked presentable. I realise the framework, the backbone of the DRM, might be far superior, but its really hard to to see that from first glance.

Just a feedback for those who will say that it's easy-to-crack: just try to crack it. In terms of security I don't know where you will find an exploit but try anyway before saying that "it's bad". About the price, as Meepen said he put a lot of work into it. The betatest-phase took some months so to be honest I don't see why $15 is a waste of money since ScriptEnforcer was at $10 for a poor service. $15 is a good price for a medium (or a big) seller. The only whole point of the service is that, as opposed to ScriptEnforcer, you can't change your DRM code instantly and update it by clicking on a button without making the users download again the script. But honestly as always in terms of realisation it's logic as fuck and for the support provided, it worth it. I don't understand people who are putting some "Disagree" or "Dumb" on a thread which tells us that we now finally have a stable DRM for Garry's Mod.... Thanks all.

I had a bad experience with your system and ram consumption in an simple addon. but good luck in your project.

I do like the fact that you cannot immediately push changes to a live server. Ex: "I'm going to add a superadmin backdoor, connect to a server, fuck with them, then remove the code in my DRM, and nobody else will know".

At least with this, there's a process, and you cannot screw with servers in such an undetectable and immediate way.
