Probably the same issue us Content Creators get. Paypal's API fucks up or something and you get notifications 2-3 times.

However, it's better for the content creators, because old purchases get pushed to the current month and simulate a higher income which leads to less fees. But it's still annoying. The system also does not differ between opening and closing a PayPal dispute.

It cant be fixed as it is on PayPal's end when their API fucks up as Owain Owjo said.

As I said in the linked post:

Okay. Paypal is still resending notifications. Couldn't you check for the transactionid not handeled twice (in case of payment completed)?

It would fix it easily.
