Hey everyone, i use two scripts on my server protected by SecureGmod and my server name gets sometimes renamed in an ID like "9d45tgud9". Does someone has the same problems or how can i fix this annoying issue?

Thanks in advance and kind regards nerzlakai96

These are the server console logs about SecureGmod: [libgmodstore] Getting libgmodstore from GitHub... [libgmodstore] Waiting for a player to join... [SECUREGMOD]: Preventing JIT from being disabled [SECUREGMOD]: attempting for 54 [SECUREGMOD]: attempting for 63 [SECUREGMOD]: attempting for 63 [SECUREGMOD]: attempting for 54 ScriptStats POST succeded. [libgmodstore] [4858] gHomes is using libgmodstore [libgmodstore] Initialised [libgmodstore] [4] Error while checking for updates on script 4858: API error: Unknown error (1)

I still have another issue/question regarding SecureGmod: Is it possible that SecureGmod is blocking/disturbing some connections to a MySQL-Database? Because i can't get Prometheus/Neutron working on my DarkRP-Server although i set everyting correctly. My Sandbox-Server (without a DRM-Script) is working fine withouth any problems.

If you can't get Prometheus working on your server then you do not have everything setup correctly. Securegmod has nothing to do with Prometheus.

what the hell is wrong with people

ok so first answer these:

What host are you using? Are you running on a VPS? Are you sure that any required C++ modules are installed? Have you double checked the mySQL config for each addon? Does your host allow access over ports 80 and 443(you can ask them btw)?

Run through this check list and then see if things work again. A side note, if you use GMChosting you will definitely have this problem persisting because of how their VSE protection works. No real way around that with them.

80 and 443 are not required iirc, it was my mistake

I'm not a network guy ye

Oh, so Securemod's causing it, but why would it mess with hostnames anyway?

Everything is working again! My host had some connectivity problems the last few days which caused these annoying problems. But thanks for all your help! #ThreadCanBeClosed
