Goodbye PayPal, welcome Stripe!
To add on to what Theodoor said, Stripe actually already allows saving your payment method for next time:
How Link with Stripe works
Your customer can select save information to pay faster next time and enter their phone number to securely store their payment details with Stripe. For future purchases on your site and others using Link with Stripe, your customer will receive a 6 digit code by SMS to verify their identity and pre-fill all saved payment details. If your customer uses the same device and is already verified, Stripe will automatically pre-fill their information to offer a 1-click payment experience.

If you're talking about the lengthy process of putting in details manually, most web browsers should actually remember this for you..? You just click on the box and it'll tell you it can auto fill it for you, all you need to remember if your CVV/CVC which is just 3 numbers anyway.
Does that mean we cant use paypal anymore?

When you're going to put Paypal back, it's boring and useless to just put stripe ?
If you read the initial post on this thread, it should be clear that they are probably not planning on returning to PayPal anytime soon.
If they had the choice, they would've sticked with PayPal, but PayPal keeps getting more and more ridiculous with their fees and conditions.

This is not allowed by PayPal's ToS. It would also be conflicting with EU's PSD2 laws.
thanks for clarification. so i guess for now no addons thats a shame. maybe if sales go down by A LOT you could increase all prices instead? so there might still be hope.
This change is not new, this change was made on March 9th. There has not been an abnormal decrease in sales or anything of the like.
Using Stripe has a lot of benefits for creators that PayPal simply can't deliver as well. Our chargeback/dispute rate is down by an impressive amount since the switch to Stripe, because Stripe actually enforces Strong Customer Authentication.
we didn't play gmod for like a year so i just found out.
wanted to buy 2 addons. no idea if i can get Stripe to work for me. but for now its a no.

I'm sorry that might not work for you. If your profile country is correct and you are indeed from Germany, you can try to use Sofort from Stripe's checkout page. But beware that payments made via Sofort internationally (since we're in Norway) are not instant like they are within Germany/Austria 😥
i don't think that i would use sofort. i was thinking about alipay as an option. i read about it a few month ago they seam to be the best option. will maybe try that eventually, not sure yet. i remember i once thought i can use google pay on a different website since i thought its like google play wallet. that face when i found out its something else.
well thanks for your replys. will use free steam workshop alternatives in my case ulx for now. maybe look into stripe at one point.

Stripe recently added the option to pay via PayPal to their platform, this appears to bypass the problem we previously encountered with PayPal.
We are now testing PayPal payments via Stripe on GmodStore 🙂

Unfortunately during the testing stage, we've seen a number of issues caused by PayPal, both for creators and the platform, which we don't believe outweigh the benefits of having it enabled. Because of this, we'll be re-disabling PayPay integration.
