VMF for Sale

Only GLua, but GLua related web scripts are also fine. .vmf and .bsp files are downloaded by everyone who joins the server, so it wouldn't be a good idea to sell them

Well the items I'd sell wouldn't be on the workshop or hosted by any server, I would create them myself only to sell to others. But if the rules are only GLua then I guess it doesn't matter. :L

Programming(scripting) that relates in Garry's Mod is what the rules are.

Sort of why I am asking, to see if this can be lifted/changed now. Because people have more to offer than just Scripts. lol.

Umm, It's kind of the Name:

Like come on, we are here to be creative with making unique Glua and web stuff, not sell maps that should be on the workshop

Names mean nothing in today's day and time, Tom. Besides, my question has been answered therefore no reason for you to comment on here just to be a smartass. Also, I do NOT believe that all maps should be posted to the workshop. If that's your idea then all scripts should be free.

I wasn't thinking correctly when I posted that, forgot that you can't really make it so exclusive.

(Yes, I know vtf, vmt, and bsp are easier to access... The point is that clientside scripts are also downloaded and with enough effort can be saved.)

scripts can be obfuscated and have other types of 3rd party protection that just isn't possible with map files. besides, most scripts on SF are serverside.

With a .BSP file you're correct, they download when joining the server.

I was just wanting to sell .vtf (prefabs such as buildings, hotels, etc) to users to throw into their .BSP. Once they do that and upload the map I understand somebody could just decompile it and steal my prefab, but that's no different than somebody leaking a script. I can worry about the premium protection on my prefabs, if this ever gets approved.

Those "smart asses" are telling you what's what, if you can't accept reality then something is wrong with you.

It'd be too much for them to monitor it like Marcuz said stop asking.
