Had I not checked here at all, I would have never known that he was gone. I started developing through his tutorials and he was very informative. I even had the chance to work with him on a project at one point. May he forever rest in peace.

Rest in peace Blue. We shall miss you. You were taken from this earth too soon.

Why not leave his addons enabled and just give the money to his family and/or donate to charity instead of just disabling everything?

Just put a thing up about no support or get someone else to take over from the admin/dev team.

I guess I gotta lose some words too...

I had nothing to do with Code Blue, never contacted him, didn't learn from him nor did I use his addons, he probably didn't even know I existed.

However, seeing this makes me feel sad.

Without a doubt, without knowing him personally, it is absolutely clear what kind of person he was. For some people here he was family, for a lot he was a good friend (a huge amount here) and for many many more he was a great teacher, which I personally respect the most.

The change Code Blue brought to the gmod community is undeniably one of the biggest impacts a single person could ever have on such a huge community. He helped a lot of creators, creative minds and potential developers to start their journey, which is the most wonderful and admirable thing anyone can do. There is absolutely no reason for him to do that (it takes a lot of time/effort teaching others), the only payment he ever needed where the proud "thank you"-s when people presented their first scripts.

Let's take a minute to talk about his legacy. I personally think dying it self isn't the worst thing that can happen - its being forgotten, dying a second death without being alive. Code Blue does not have to fear this. He probably inspired thousand of peoples to start developing. Even if they didn't continue their path with gmod/lua, they might be the ones to change technology forever some day. And this is a beautiful thought, part of his mind, his thinking will forever live on in the stuff he taught us, in the stuff we created or will create one day.

So just remember the next time you finish any sort of developing - how was code blue involved in it? Giving him a "second life" this way is IMO the best way to remember someone.

I'm not really religious, but I sincerely hope that you are in the place you deserve Code Blue, this community will never be able to thank you enough - this community will also never forget you and your brilliant work.

Thank you and rest in peace.

My condolences to the family and close friends for losing such a good person.
