this'll probably be a dead thread but I might as well. I haven't managed to get much done seeing as there's a 5 year old constantly on my trail now but I decided I should try make something that looks cool seeing as everything I make looks like ass.

Nah, it plays a sound file.

Just a small little code that randomly opens/closes doors every 5 seconds for a script I am currently working on. You can also disable certain doors via config file.

no sadly not XD I needed it to basicly go crazy on all Doors, therefore it is just an ents.GetAll().

Also i changed so that when a door is closed it is now also locked. I think this would be the perfect troll addon for every RP Server XD

Instead of doing ents.GetAll() you should store every door inside your own table and iterate through that. You can add all of the doors after they've been created wtih this hook.

already did something like that but the idea with the On Entity Created Hook is pretty good, thx

But is it really such a big difference to looping over with ents.GetAll() and writing a table with it. Basicly the only difference is when you are looping over them

I'm pretty sure the differences are negligible if you're only looping through ents.GetAll once, but it's just good practice in general.

Im currently Working on a new version of my addon - SFPortal thats going to be alot more "modern" than the current system and also overhaul the entire system.

Hopefully it will be up on gmodstore soon.

I have also re-done the admin area to make it more user friendly, faster loading, optimised and a few more safety nets and a few security patches that weren't possible on the previous :) Its awaiting approval still hoping it'll pass curation in a few days :)
