[Rev-Share] Concept artists and Lua programmers needs for a game project

Hey ! I'm working on a project with my community and we're in need of concept artists and lua programmers.

Who am i ? Who am I ? I am the founder of a french speaking community (and in a near future english and italian speaking). Here's our steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/VolksEspada

What's the project ? We have many projects and one of 'em concerns Garry's Mod. We are making a new game mode and from that game mode we will make the most unique server in that game. Our goal is to make it famous and earn enough money to finance its server location and also to pay our friends, the team. When it will be enough famous we will move to the second step of the project: making it a standalone game. A server already did that. Their game is called "Tower Unite". Additionnal information on the project: It’ll be one of the first games to be RP. The theme is steampunk, and the map/world will be floating islands (Thanks bioshock infinite). I have nothing to show right now regarding the map, since our level designers are only working on its alpha as I’m writing. So no textures, only blocky. But what I can show is concept arts of the map (done by us) : http://imgur.com/pngw0W5 http://imgur.com/NU5g3oL http://imgur.com/pnkph3f

Why do we need concept artists ? We have 3D modelers who work with us on the project. But they are 3D modelers not magicians. So, to make 3D objects, they need concepts of it and that's why we need concept artists. (And also probably for load screens, etc)

What will be asked ? Objects (as guns, props, ...), characters' design and maybe buildings to help the level designers.

Why do we need lua programmers ? Since Garry's mod works with lua, we need lua programmers to make our own game mode and addons.

What will be asked to lua programmers ? Sorry, I can't publish publicly (for the moment) our ideas. But if any programmer is really interested, I'll gladly share those in private.

What's our team ? -Gestion: Melior

-Animation ArtDOKEN

-3D modeler: softyoda William ArtDOKEN

Scenario helper Gatchaman -Drawers: Elaine Manon

-Concept Artist Zero 1tm Antwan1013 Elaine

-Music: Othman Nusync

-Level Designer Smaed Nusync Shadow

-GFX: Othman Royalsmith Théo Other(s)

-Programming: (lua)Bryan FloppyFin (lua)Miloteza (lua) Antonio (lua) async (lua) Goober

Why do we still need people with a such big team ? Well, it's a revenue share project. And we are human beings, we have to feed our selves. So our team members work, go to holidays and have a private life. I'd like te recruite more to divide the work and not make it impossible. It also makes the progress go faster.

What do you earn form it besides a "rev-share" ? Friends, experience, experience with other languages, credit and fun. (And maybe some games ;) )

How do you contact me ? -Here (I'll be pretty slow to respond) -Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Scarlet-Skies/ -Skype: scarletskies5 -Discord: Melior#0652

So you're doing this only for profit?

You do realize that Tower Unite was ONLY made because the developers say they reached Source's limits and really couldn't do that much

that and Unreal Engine 4 is far better than Source

It's a cool project my man, but I think you're way too much ahead with your program.

As a 'game developer', I'd recommend to start straight in Unity/Unreal/Amazon Lumberyard/Crytek, whatever game engine you're going to use. Don't think making it in Garry's Mod will be very successful if you're trying to earn money, if you're all really dedicated to it and do it for a few months and make a demo or something then you can start up a kick starter or something where you can earn money to help make the game in a finished state.

If you're new to developing games I'd recommend Unity or Unreal Engine 4, languages aren't that hard to learn.
