Who thinks it's a shame that we can no longer pay with paypal?

I don't think it is a shame, not really.

PayPal aren't a great company, do dodgy stuff and have personally screwed me over before.

Doubly so when the reason for moving is because they keep jacking up fees.

can you please explain why instead of just asserting you think it's a shame?

paypal is great for the buyer, it has everything they could need don't get me wrong. but for the seller it's an absolute nightmare, especially for digital products, not to mention the funny random account freezes and giant random fees or currency conversion fees or the easiest way to make a chargeback/dispute and have no legal baseline to justify the decision between the buyer or seller winning it's just the support ops' call if they wanna put it in the buyers' favor :D

Actually, Stripe supports the payment processors of my country, so instead of having to top-up my PayPal account with $10, I can now just pay with my bank directly..

Paypal is good for the buyer but for the seller it receives fees. The amount he receives, part of his money is given back to paypal.
