Scripts I wasted money on

https://www.gmodstore.com/scripts/view/1540/loki-prop-protection - I am not the only one who has had problems with this script, me and someone else were not able to get this working on our servers. I messaged the guy and got no response.

https://www.gmodstore.com/scripts/view/279/donation-system-1 - Paid 30$ for setup fees and the addon on coderhirer (back when I didn't know how to make a job) and the guy just abandons the script. The script eventually became outdated and the owner of the script never assisted me again. (Or told me that the script was outdated and I should stop wasting my time)

https://www.gmodstore.com/scripts/view/733/matching-darkrp-hud-scoreboard-and-f4-menu - The hud and F4 needed to be fixed and the guy just stopped all his stuff on scriptfodder. There were only those slight errors, other than that, it was a good script.

You guys bullied him so much that he changed his name :(

Back on topic.

When I was not so good at Lua I bought a CRAP tonne of scripts and to be honest I wouldn't regret any of my purchases. Sure some addons are low quality and some I never got use out of but at the end of the day you supported a developer and got something for your server at a pretty damn good price I think people forget that you get so much back from the one time purchases that scripts are. In addition to this while I was starting out with GLua I read lots of the scripts I bought so I could understand how things worked for when I wanted to make my own similar idea to it, sure there are loads of ways to do the same thing but sometimes you can find a way from others that just makes a lot more sense.

Try not to get too upset about purchases that may not have gone so well especially if the developers are inactive, unless you think the the person needs to be brought to the staff's attention which doesn't seem to be where you're going with this thread, seems more like a share your experiences kinda thread.

I know the author of the last script and we used to talk quite a bit but one day he just vanished, I hope he's ok.

Purchased - 3 hours ago.

Already disabled. No idea why you're beating a dead horse.

Already disabled.

Again, beating a dead horse.

Your first script has no reason to be on this list cause you literally bought it three hours ago, which means at the time of the thread you owned it for an hour.

A lot of people started bitching about my name, so I changed it. I am not going to be changing my youtube channels name, but people literally started ddosing my server and calling me a fake for having my name as StonedPenguinYT. So I said fuck it.

This is how gmodstore works. And also something you have to be prepared to deal with. Some developers don't support their scripts -- while most do. Some developers are extremely active for a year, and then just drop off the face of the planet due to either issues in life, moving forward, or even for being banned. While maybe 5% of the scripts on gmodstore are over $15.00USD -- a majority are a few bucks and sometimes you get way beyond what you paid for, and sometimes you don't get anything to justify the price but in the end it sorta balances out.

There's risk in us selling our scripts (leakers, bad customers, etc) and there's risk in buying (no support, discontinued, broken). It's the nature of the type of business. You take the good with the bad. But what Nook said is pretty dead-on. Two of the scripts are discontinued or disabled and one you barely even had time to use. To say you messaged him with no reply within a "1 hour timeframe" is sort of ridiculous. Most developers on here use the standard of 24 hours, some even more. People have a life outside of gmodstore.

I messaged the guy prior to purchase by 4 days asking if the script is still working, he didn't reply, I purchased and it was broken.

Well is this 'someone' somebody creditable or off this site? Did you do background checks on this 'someone' or did you find him on the YouTube Comment section? If so, your problem. It's like paying a company for a product and then paying someone to help with this product and moaning at the company this dude fucked you over lmao. Utterly useless and 100% your fault. I'm not usually someone to point the finger and be like this; I believe this is a justified response and you're simply posting for posting sake just to complain and possibly get something out of it knowing full well its your fault.

Closing this thread. Gonna be a little brusque here - OP is an idiot. Flat out ignored my arguments and continued on like they never happened.
