Talking about Hacking in Gmod Server

Hello,

My name is M, and I'm a player, and at old time a server creator.

I recently took over Garry's mod, on a server that I like a lot.

However, this one was hacked, because of 2 addons leaks (out of 32) but still (this being bad I admit but every server does this) they were waiting to buy.

But this thread is not about that, because despite buying ALL the addons.

The server was still been hacked....

A backdoor in the gmodstore addons? A workshop addon? A gmod security breach ? 

Some reddit post even talks about a backdoor in thirth person, or glua pack. ?

Also can an infected addon, infect another addon ?

Any addon, idea, to prevent hacking ?

Happy to talk about this wird phase of Gmod with any people.
