SIMPLAC Review

I bought this really out of a lack of other options. There seem to only really be two choices for Anticheats in the Marketplace. I have CAC and it doesn't seem to have gotten any real updates in a long time (evidenced by the number of aimbotters and other cheaters on the server lately) so I decided to try SIMPLAC.

Simplac.settings.testmode = true -- test mode (disable bans) If only some super smart server owner hadn't disabled bans before testing it

Wow. In the first 10 minutes it banned half the population of the server. Why? Well, I went to the data folder for SIMPLAC and there were codes that indicated something about the M9K weapons the person was using when they were banned.Examples:Violation: MC3==weapon_ar237==0Violation: MC3==weapon_crowbar__36==0Violation: MC3==m9k_svu36==0I mean.. I don't how how someone is going to hack a crowbar... anyway, I get in touch with the coder "Leystryku is a jpgook" and I'm told to read the disclaimer. At this point I've already deleted the script (for obvious reasons) so I don't have a "disclaimer" to read. He quickly closes the ticket after that.

Simplac.settings.readdetectiondisclaimer = false -- Did you read the detection disclaimer? So by default, my script has a disclaimer written in capslock after every detection (like the ones he sent). Setting it to true ( which you should do AFTER reading it, like it FUCKING says next to it ) disables the disclaimer. This guy, has detections without disclaimers and doesn't know what the disclaimer says. What a fucking einstein.

So.. I Reopen the ticket and ask for more information (trying not to be mad about the fact that I just got snubbed) since there must be a LIST somewhere of what the codes mean.He comes back telling me to turn something off. Again.. I don't have the script loaded because it's flagging EVERYONE for cheating for some reason. This is SANDBOX, by the way. It's not some complicated gamemode with special scripts or something. People are getting banned for spawning a weapon....

me: "turn off the violation" you: "changing disclaimer wont work" Oh boy I fucking do wonder why the script won't work.

So.. I REOPEN THE TICKET AGAIN and ask AGAIN for a list of the codes and what they mean so I know what to disable in his script.He.. AGAIN closes the ticket and tells me to read something in CAPSLOCK about the error (the codes I pasted up there are the SUM TOTAL of everything in the datafiles..) oh, and to just disable mousecheck.yeah, because that's all you had to do from the beginning. Read the text, and it would've told you what to do. Setting MouseCheck to false. I'm not here to fucking change your settings for you.

Well. His advice is to turn off movechecks... thats 2 of the only useful 5 detections. Not to mention the aimbot detection is a bot that spawns on the server invisible and takes up a player slot. By the way, it's not NPCignored either. So any NPCs, turrets, etc. will constantly attack it thus rendering it completely pointless. But, that was a conversation we had also.

Those are 11 different settings. Not 10. I told you to turn off MouseCheck. That's one detection out of 11. you don't even know what it does. Stop complaining that it's "one of the only useful ones". like what the fuck? If you don't even know how the code works ... UGH.

And yes, I told you to turn it off. I even told you to turn it off before you made your ticket. If you refuse to listen to me then don't fucking come complaining.

Anyway... after all that, yes I lost my cool and just told him to refund it. Why would I have to turn off detections? What kind of a crappy script makes you turn off most of its functions because simple things cause it to give false flags?It's not even the fact that this is a poor excuse for an anticheat script. And out of all the TOTALLY useful settings on there there are what, 5 that are actually useful. And, between the ticket and the discussion posts, you want me to just turn off more than half of them.

And you call me Einstein. At least I didn't publish a script that I defend by saying "it works with TTT"... Good god.

those are 2 detections. not "half". Just because I don't feed you with your exact setting lines and configs doesn't mean I didn't tell you to do shit. You're supposed to change your settings yourself. I'm NOT your nanny.

Also some detections are multiple in one, thus disabling one setting doesn't enable "60% of USEFUL FUNCTIONALITY DISABLED".

Going to close this thread. It was created because the user is unable to follow instructions and instead is more interested in arguing/being difficult with developers.

Ley is in the right here as they provided what the user needed to do to resolve their issue, and I even explained how the script is modular so parts can be disabled to fit the server. However the user was more interested in acting like a victim and refusing to work with either of us.
