Technical question

People on face punch didn't say anything so fuck it.

So I am traveling in a 5th wheeler for 2 weeks then flying to my girlfriends but I got the internet working by hooking the Comcast modem up and the router to the cable.

What puzzles me is that we had a xfinity adapter box so I don't know if the Internet would work outside of xfinities cable cause they're Comcast. Note the cable adapter from them wasn't connected it was just from the cable wire in the ground.

If anyone has knowledge with technical shit like this and knows if I so happen to come across a different cable will I be able to use my internet? (We're still paying for the modem and the Internet from Comcast)

Btw this is in the off topic so fuck off with the "it's not sf related"

Thanks

Tell me if I am wrong, but shouldn't it just be a standard Coax Cable?

We had a standard cable connected to the 5th wheeler and the one that came out of the wall fed the modem

Ok, let me try to wrap my head around this as I'm slightly confused. So you have a Comcast based Modem/Router that worked with a straight cable line from Comcast and wondering while you are traveling in your 5th Wheeler, will you be able to use other internet lines with the same router and modem? If so, you should be able to, though if it's a different provider, it might be tricky to setup considering that an ISP Assigns you with a specific IP Address/Range for you to go off of as well as DNS Servers based on the ISP.

If you could by chance post a picture of what this "Xfinity Adapter Box" looks like that would be helpful unless I already answered your question.
