"King David" Lightsabers MAJOR bug

Are you sure that script is even apart of ScriptFodder market? I personally cannot seem to find it.

This is what happens when you purchase from someone who has shit loads of bugs in the global ban script.

Yes, sorry if it's posted in the wrong place but he applies for every lightsaber job there is as he fully customizes them. Only issue is, is the bug and poor support.

Sadly it has nothing to do with ScriptFodder, try going on facepunch and asking for help.

Shouldn't buy from people who have broken addons, don't know king david but if his global bans addon (lua side) doesn't work now his light saber script doesn't work he's obviously pretty shit at coding.

Kezzy your server is the only server having this issue. I had asked you to send me some users that are having this issue and you said "Yeah man sure I'll send them over" and never did. If it's so prevalent that 70% of players have it, you should be giving me cases like hot cakes. I looked into your server console and found 100s of script errors that had nothing to do with my addon in it. When you finally do reply you give me another problem that has more to do with the files not being transferred properly or corrupted. Then I don't hear from you, and then I hear that you want another addon made and we'll "call it even" (this is from a previous agreement that because he didn't want to use the sabers anymore, I would compensate by making a new addon for him from scratch since I hold a no-refund policy)

I have also included "incriminating" logs of Kezzy reporting other problems in my addon. Problems that I never heard about again so I assumed were fixed. I will accept that the addon can get bugs, as can any code going a new environment, but they should not have been population reducing as he states, and I work to actually fix them. When Kezzy is the only server reporting an issue, it's hard for me to get a fix immediately.

I would also like to point out that Kezzy has showcased the addon on his server after reporting these issues, meaning the addon was WORKING.

If it's necessary, I will get communities that my addon is working on to come and testify to the fact that they are not losing players to it. LastBastion, Lazarus Gaming, Prominent Gaming, and a few other big hitters with over 100 players are running the very same addon and are not reporting any issues involving players not being able to connect.

That's a bold statement and probably something to be addressed at another time, though I'm not sure why you say the Lua addon isn't working if it is? I had released an update that addressed one of the more pressing bugs and added some developer hooks. I will admit it took much longer than usual but I am an Electrical Engineer taking 7 classes at once, my final schedule is cluttered. It's unacceptable that the gBan update took so long for what was basically a trivial fix and I can take flak for that.

Hello There, I'm the owner of a Community Called Ares-Networks that currently has this lightsaber script & I used to run to separate servers for an older community called Kingsrealm. I never personally came across any issue with people not being able to join the server in all the time I've run the separate servers (around 3 months). The only issue I've ever come across is some minor framerate issues on some people's clientside caused by having to load the animations.

But also moving on from the point that I haven't experienced this on my servers. You haven't actually provided any proof as to what is causing this bug.Or even at the very least what caused you to think it was this script that was the culprit. I don't mean to sound rude but from my point of view your server is reducing in size & you are simply trying to find something to blame it on.

And Personally I'd like to say from my point of view the support was outstanding if there was any question (no matter how silly) The creator would happily try & help me. Anytime I messaged him I could get a reply, either when he came back online or minutes from sending the message. But again just to point out that is my personal experience.

Yeah no problem on my end from being a person who also got the mod.

I run the Last Bastion Clone wars RP server and we have been using David's sabers for a couple of months now.

There have been times where I've had issues with the sabers, from hilts not showing up to being unable to deflect TFA based weapons, something not even directly related to the addon, and all it took was a steam message and at most a couple days for the issue to be resolved.

Just recently on Sunday we ran an order 66 event. With about a dozen saber-wielding Jedi up against 60+ clones with hostile NPCs in the mix, the Z-6 miniguns in the TFA pack (as much as I love them) lagged more than anything else on the server, so no, the addon does NOT affect the players' ability to connect to the server.

I don't know anything about your server or what you put on it, but I can tell you with confidence that the fact that my server can handle a jedi massacre at 75 players without losing anybody means that whatever is happening with your server is on your end, man. ** Edit:** Hell, if you posted a log of some of the client errors for us to see, it'd give credence to your claims. Until then, the fact that numerous large servers, including my own, run this addon with no trouble leads me to believe that the issue lies with you.

I'd also like to add that my server was fine until these animations came. He offered no alternative or support. I'd message him and will not hear back from him at all. I'm not trying to call Riddick or TheUnrealDeal a liar, but I've messaged him multiple times and recieve no response. It must be different for him responding to me.

For the logs however, it was only said that he could do that, but never recieved any response from it.

Hello there! I am the owner of Prominent Gaming Clone Wars RP, and I can whole wholeheartedly vouch for King David's lightsabers and support! We've been using them for just as long as the user Riddick has, and we've experienced zero issues, especially ones related to OP's thread. Even the original transition from normal sabers to the animated, yielded zero complications or cause for concern. At 100 players, either during an event or on ship, all factors in a SWRP environment is smooth as smooth can be. If you would like your problem fixed, it would be wise on your end to find any LUA errors, either relating to the sabers or not, and attempt to fix them.

You were using it for a good couple of weeks before you reported the issue, meaning something happened in between there. I also am unsure how you would be able to show it to someone else on your server if it doesn't work. And what are you talking about no alternative, what are you talking about all I said is "I can do that". I told you I had exams, I told you I was going to try and have it done. I just finished my exams yesterday!

Howdy everyone!

I'm one of the owners of Lazarus Gaming, we recently purchased King David's lightsaber swep about 4 days ago and no bug has occurred that stopped any players from being able to connect to my server. King David has yet to be anything else but helpful towards me, as well as being one of the easiest people to work with so saying that you're still "Waiting on his support" seems far fetched.

This SWEP has been one of the best investments my server has implemented and I recommend anyone who is on the fence about purchasing them, try them out.

You're warning users about an issue only YOU have. You're effectively saying THIS WHOLE ADDON IS BROKE STAY AWAY FROM IT, and then you STILL HAVEN'T GIVEN ME ANYONE THAT HAS ENCOUNTERED THIS ISSUE. Don't try and say you're doing a public service. You're trying to do smear here.

How am I supposed to fix something I can't replicate, anyway?

I don't think this is the right place to warn people about it since the script is not being sold on ScriptFodder. From what I read the addon is just working fine, but you have conflicting addons on your server or made a misstake with setting it up. That give you no reason to say something like "I'd hate for them to waste $80 for nothing like I did.". That makes you just childish and I wouldn't care anymore about you if I was the creator of the script. He is trying to communicate in a normal way, but you are not giving him the response and feedback he is asking for. So he can't help you. Also it is not really his problem that the addon is not working because of other addons conflicting with it. Maybe you should try running the addon on a test server with only the necesarry things on it.

@King David - I'm warning users to beaware of the issue before they purchase it. I'd hate for them to have the same experience I had and that screenshot of our chat simply proves my point. Extremely poor service.

@DJReFor - It's on here because he applies for lightsaber jobs on here. I'd hate for anyone to recieve the service I did. I also answered all of his questions too. I have ran a test server with the same issues. I'd also like to add for the 4th time, this is a warning post. I didn't post this to receive an argument or hate from all his friends. It's easy getting friends to comment on a thread but yet that doesn't solve anything. I'm simply here to warn other users about my experience with this addon, it's a simple as that. I didn't post to get hate from his friends.
