Question regarding shared development

Hi, I am a developer on a server which has paid addons, I currently do my work through github without access to the anything restricted, but I wish to make changes to certain addons which are paid; would the owner be allowed to share this with me purely for modifying it for the server? Or Is this in breach of anything? Cheers!

probably wouldn't be best to be editing the server through github since then the scripts would be leaked :v

It is public, and I contribute towards it, it is only the gamemode that is on the github, no additional addons.

This is always a tough thing to discuss, as some script developers don't want you to edit their script if you haven't purchased it.

I've always felt that it's up to the owner of the script on whether to allow a developer to work on it. They'll get banned if it gets leaked, or the developer will if enough proof is provided.

Just use common sense, don't use GitHub for heaven's sake, and you'll be fine.

You should make a test server with all addons but the paid ones and allow editing there, if he edits something, test it, then add it to your main server.
