Hosting a server - need some advices

I mean honestly nfo has never failed me in the 4 years I've used their servers, their wbehosting has a cap on it but overall getting a VDS for $40 it pretty killer. Along with you being able to just plug and play two servers with their software or just controlling it all yourself.
I'm not sure where you are based, if you are based around EU / UK I'd use ifast If you feel like doing everything yourself I'd recommend digital ocean as even an idiot like me can set up ubuntu.
NFO: https://www.nfoservers.com/order-virtual-dedicated-server.php Ifastnet: https://ifastnet.com/
Digital Ocean: https://www.digitalocean.com/
Ive heard NFO has the best servers for both game hosting and web hosting. I dont use them myself because of its price but apparantly its 10/10 worth it. With NFO you get a free web host as well to host whatever web files you want so worth it with the price

It depends what you get, if you order the VPS / VDS you don't get a webhost but 4 dedicated cores to run w/e you please.
If you order a regular package you can get free hosting but like I said it's capped.
I guess it got a bit confusing with mentioning dedicated servers twice, but I am NOT looking to buy a dedicated server. I just want two separate servers. cPanel is fine as I just use Filezilla to upload my server files and so on.
I'm from Denmark (uh surprise) and looking to place the server somewhere in the EU. With SerentiyServers I can place it in London which sounds pretty good.
NFO is overpriced. Serenity is overpriced, but less so. I would suggest Vultr or Digital Ocean.
I would highly recommend GMCHosting.com, they have the best DDOS protection over any other hosting company I've been with. The owner will go out of his way to help you with any problems and if you want they offer private VPS options but you have to contact the owner first. They have a custom panel and everything. Some of the higher end servers that get a lot of players and are at the top of the DarkRP search list like "Garnet Gaming" use GMC. This probably sounds like an advertisement but it's not, I've used NFO, Serenity, and GMC and I would choose GMC for their servers, since they are also pretty cheap and they perform really good.
Do not use NFO, unless you want to get raped by a 5dollar booter. Serenty, nitrous both crap and overcrowding their shared hosting. I would recomend you get a dedicated server from ovh hosting, they are rock solid and barely any booter than touch their gameserver ddos protection. If you cannot afford a dedicated server, i would say go with crident, which i used before i moved to a dedicated server, i've ran with up to 70 people on my darkrp server, with the shared hosting. They moved location, and they currently host most top servers on gmod. If you go with serenty, then you should already dig the hole, same with nfo.

I think he's just looking for light hosting and nothing serious.
But I would not recommend serenity as they get over-loaded quite a lot.
Also I've been hit plenty of times before whilst using NFO and I've had no problems.

Their ddos protection horrible, if you don't rent their 110quid dedi, which is bulletproof. The owner of gmc told me last time over the teamspeak, that the ddos protection is horrible.

So Crident looks like a good choice. Thank you!
Anyone knows anything about hosting24 that's worth knowing? I've had some databases there and I liked their control panel. It's also cheap for what I need it for (free .com domain and we hosting).

Possibly the cheapest hosting around is https://buyshared.net/ - webhosting and https://buyvm.net/ - vps's. Great servers and great support. I've used them for a long time now and highly recommend them.
@Crap-Head Used hosting24 for around 3-4 years and they are great. Their support is 24/7 with excellent staff. Recently I moved away from them due to the fact it's more efficient running the site on a dedicated machine along with servers and other tasks. However, I do recommend them in every category.
Sorry to head back to NFO, But I'm going to be honest. I tried using their servers and it was aight on a VDS, but here came the issues of fastdl. They wanted me to buy a web host from them in order to use fastdl, but other companies include fastdl
That's not a problem on their side? You could just have set up FastDL on your VDS

Honestly, it seems intimidating running your own web server at first but in the long run it can be cheaper and much more faster... It's also a really good way to learn about managing servers yourself etc. Not to mention you can host your own TS3 server or do whatever really. You're not confined to just hosting a website.
For a VPS, I'd recommend Vultr - I host multiple things there and they're good for everything pretty much. They're doing something where you can get £30 worth of credit if you pay £10 at the moment as well. Then it's literally as simple as following this tutorial to setup a LAMP stack...
If you need any help with this stuff, feel free to add me on steam... I mess around with all this stuff quite a lot therefor running into common problems that other people would have.
