Hi everyone, feel free to discuss Pointshop 2 & related Addons here. For support you can use tickets but you can also use this thread to ask the community. Suggestions are always welcome as well of course.

For anyone interested in creating custom items for their Pointshop 2 or coding DLC i have just published a tutorial on how to add items and item creators here: Learn how to create a Pointshop 2 item in 3 easy steps

Kam, you know I've always been a fan of your work, and anytime I see someone running PS1 I tell them to switch. However, I'd highly recommend you switch over to tmysql4, or find a fix for mysqloo - the database connection drops so much and never re-establishes connection unless I decide to restart the server. Maybe it's just an issue with me, who knows. But I recommended PS2 to another network, they purchased it, and they seem to have the same issue.

I think tmysql4 has a wrapper for people who don't use it but the normal module would be better than mysqool

Whats the issue with PS1?

Not really an issue, just more of a preference. I enjoy the fact that I can edit everything on-the-fly without having to deal with model files. Plus I enjoy the DLCs for PS2 more than 1, and the overall theme for it is more modernized.

I'm all but the theme. It's kinda squished together if it was a bit wider that'd be a lot better but that's just me.

The only real issue with the theme I've had on PS2, is when I tried browsing PS2 on my laptop (15") I could never see the save buttons. I'd have to hook into my TV via HDMI, or move to my desktop. And yeah, it could be wider though.

Could you update the skin file to have stuff like header height in it? Or just any way of changing it without overwriting the VGUI element.

add the airdrops dlc to the pointshop 2 dlc package pls :3 https://www.pointshop2.com/

Thanks Richard :) Definitely looking to support tmysql4, unfortunately there are no blocking queries which breaks a few things (will need to redesign & test some parts of the code).

Soon ;) Got a few things planned. There will be a free upgrade for anyone who purchased ultimate within the last 3 months to keep it fair though.

I think you can use the layout hooks in the skin to do this, will have to check

Is this still an issue? I made the creators a lot less tall with the introduction of multi step creators. Had always assumed that 768 px was quite reasonable to expect, oh how wrong I was :D So many problems with that

Limited items as in limited to X purchases? What would you use the web Version for? Full shop or just inventory view like TF2 backpacks and similar?

Yeah that the items are limited to X purchased.

I mean a full shop so you can see all items and you can purchase the items as well. But a simple inventory view would be great too... :)

If you want to use it now you can upgrade free once the update hits :) Of course you can also wait until the details are out

I think he means things like the tf2 outpost, along with limited item as in: "Miku Supreme Skin: 10x quantity" Once these sell out. it goes into can not be sold or category where it cant be sold, that or the item it greyed out and unable to purchase until an admin puts more. Which I'd also like to see both of these implemented honestly. OR something like how gmod tower worked online, where you had a profile on which you could see peoples inventories, and what they had equipped.

You probably want to use base_single_use for this, check the jump power example

ok ill check that out thanks!

Edited I got a single use version working but is it possible to make it so i can make this perm as an accessory? http://pastebin.com/z5zyfu10

You could probably make a Booster out of it (which is also quite simple). Check out the example boosters. That way it also won't be permanent

Also prop hunt version compatibility was buggy the jump pack was showing on props i fixed this with a local function checking if they were on team prop else return false. However the biggest issue seems to be that the sq lite seems to corrupt easily and isn't realiable and as Richard said the mysql00 constantly disconnects. I really like this product and invested in it it just seems buggy with certain gamemodes. It works fine with TTT with a bit of lag cause of the mysql00 issues but prophunt seems like it was not tested with this. Would it be possible to work with you to optimize this pointshop for ph? I really like thcee idea and work you put in it man just a few glitches to fix :D. Also i think I can work off the ph_0_base_pointshop_item sin my code is all lua and not a persistence or would that not work? I understand logic of functions and shit because i did ap compsci with java but lua i still have a bit to learn about how it all works :D
