Also prop hunt version compatibility was buggy the jump pack was showing on props i fixed this with a local function checking if they were on team prop else return false. However the biggest issue seems to be that the sq lite seems to corrupt easily and isn't realiable and as Richard said the mysql00 constantly disconnects. I really like this product and invested in it it just seems buggy with certain gamemodes. It works fine with TTT with a bit of lag cause of the mysql00 issues but prophunt seems like it was not tested with this. Would it be possible to work with you to optimize this pointshop for ph? I really like thcee idea and work you put in it man just a few glitches to fix :D. Also i think I can work off the ph_0_base_pointshop_item sin my code is all lua and not a persistence or would that not work? I understand logic of functions and shit because i did ap compsci with java but lua i still have a bit to learn about how it all works :D

There'll be few stability improvements and tmysql support soon. strangely the jumppack doesn't seem to profit from the fix in the hat base.

You can of course simply work of the base_pointshop_item, it's probably easiest to go with material icons for inv/shop icons there. Persistence is only needed if you want to make visual editors.

I actually was able to add this funtion into the jumpack lua added into the Think Function and it worked on disabing the jumpack for kleiners and props. However untill you can add those fixes for the mysql I have to disable it from use on my ph server but it still works great on ttt. Ik you are busy but ill be willing to try and mess around although my lua knowledge is basic :D

local ply = self:GetOwner( )
if not ply:Alive( ) or ply:Team() == TEAM_PROPS or ( ply.IsSpec and ply:IsSpec( ) ) then
return false, "You need to be alive to use this item"
end
return true
end
end

Thank kam!

Hey Kam,

I recently downloaded TTT Upgrades Master, It does not work with Pointshop 2. I believe the error is telling me to replace some ps1 code. Can you take a look at the code and tell me what needs to be changed? Thanks!

#24

I believe the plugin is very tightly integrated with pointshop 1 - you'd have to change a lot to make it work with PS2. You could create a job here on the site for someone to create a PS2 version.

Would a couple bucks be a viable pay for the coder?

You can probably get it done for ~$15

Was the issue ever fixed where I couldnt choose which team could use which model? That's really the only reason I stopped using PS2. When you have team specific gamemodes it makes it hard to play. The gamemode hidden couldn't work because there was no way to override the model setting without contacting you through support. The main reason was that there is no easy way to change an item's properties like in PS1. Do you plan on allowing that in the future, or have you already added it since the last time I contacted you :P

#28

There is a hook which you can use to disallow teams to use models, there is actually a hidden integration plugin with points as well

I know there is remember I was the one that originally had the issues with it. I was talking about how it's easy to make each item have different functions on PS1, Will that ever be possible with PS2?

You can do it in a very similar way in PS2, it's often overlooked but the Jump Pack is an example for a simple item that has some extra function. For custom "code on use" items there is a Jump Power item as well. Code for reference:

ITEM.baseClass = "base_single_use"
ITEM.PrintName = "Jump Power"
ITEM.Description = "Use to get 2x Jump Power!"
ITEM.material = "pointshop2/small65.png"

function ITEM:CanBeUsed( )
local canBeUsed, reason = ITEM.super.CanBeUsed( self )
if not canBeUsed then
return false, reason
end
local ply = self:GetOwner( )
if not ply:Alive( ) or ( ply.IsSpec and ply:IsSpec( ) ) then
return false, "You need to be alive to use this item"
end
return true
end

function ITEM:OnUse( )
self:GetOwner( ):SetJumpPower( self:GetOwner( ):GetJumpPower( ) * 2 )

end

Ticket please gpalm, would love an example. Currently you cannot change the color of the title for items.

Kamshak, I want your opinion. How do you feel about like a steam marketplace-like thing for PS2? I think it could work with trading, and with the cases and drops, it would work perfectly! If you disagree, I won't take offense, I just wanted to ask :)

Sounds very cool! I won't be able to do it myself at the moment but there is a job on the site so there might be a 3rd party DLC soon :)

Hi Kamshak,

Everytime the Server loads, the Libk throws the following error: [LibK] FATAL: Couldn't load mysqloo, make sure it is correctly installed! errror was: attempt to index a string value. I have put "libmysqlclient.so.18" in the root directory of garrysmod and the "gmsv_mysqloo_linux.dll" in the lua/bin folder. I am using the Version 9.5. Is there any incompatibility with this version?

#38

I have absolutely no idea how that error could happen, what it does is require("mysqloo"). To test it in isolation you can run this serverside (or via rcon):

lua_run require([[mysqloo]])

See what error that gives you. 9.5 is supported, it seems something is wrong with the way it's set up on your server. When the above command does not error it should work (this requires mysqloo isolated from pointshop and libk).

#39

Where is Pointshop 2? I want to purchase it but the script is gone.
