That's because the kick addon isn't applying the damage properly, you'd have to modify the kick addon to be able to change that.
It shows up as the weapon you're holding in the killfeed, so if you had a glock and kick someone it'd say you killed them with a glock

@Rainbow: no impact server side, client side is very optimized, on the computers tested not noticeable.

How optimized this this? does this affect clientfps or does it have a drag on the serverside?
I'm not asking for support, but is there supposed to be a skull (for some a black box) at the top left corner of the screen?
EDIT: the skull is the default icon for when there are no kill icons / suicide in the default killfeed.
Using this addon on our server, really good addon (I don't own it, server owner does) and was wondering if there'd be any way of adding support for "assist" stuff
Basically just if two people do damage, it acknowledges both. Don't know how feasible it would be though...
ps: You can already design images for weapons and register them using killicon.Add, but you'd have to add them in a FastDL/WorkshopDL for other people to see them.

Damn this actually looks like a really good addon. I've been waiting to see a proper customization system for the killfeed and the way this seems to play into usergroups and stuff as well is fascinating. I'm definitely going to be buying this when I get the chance.
Something I am curious about, have you considered the idea of some sort of like... imgur support? Many weapons on GMod don't have icons, so giving users the ability to designate icons manually would be interesting, but I imagine rather difficult....
Anyway, GLWS and all that, this addon looks fantastic!

@Mason: That's a really nice addon you sent there and yea its very cheap, but the big difference here is in functionality. A weapon selection menu is not the same as a highly customizable killfeed, and thanks a lot for the compliment :)!
Is there an option to show the distance of the kill on the feed? If not it woud be a cool feature
I really like it just to me personally $5.00 is to much for what it is. I have no doubt the code its self and the actually functionality is worth more then $5.00 but for what it actually does (change text on the top left) its not really worth it.
