Job: Helix UI Overhaul

Hello,

I am looking for a UI designer to complete an overhaul of the UI for the Helix framework for an upcoming project.

Qualifications

1. Experience working on Garry's Mod user interfaces (UI) and general frontend development.
2. A detailed portfolio containing examples of previous work. No portfolio will result in job denial.
3. Preferable: Experience working on the Helix framework.
4. Must be communicative throughout the development process. Proficiency in English is a must.
5. The ability to write clean and modular code, complete with comments as needed.
6. Must apply via GmodStore and utilize GmodStore to track development progress with us.

Our Vision

We are hoping to have the Helix framework's UI completely overhauled. We are not a fan of the current UI setup and want many things accomplished, including but not limited to:

1. A new scoreboard, preferably split from the inventory/tab menu.
2. Overhauls of the inventory, character creation/loading screen, and main menu. We have concepts that we can supply.
3. A new UI for item and entity tooltips.
4. An interaction menu for entities and players. So for example, when pressing E on a player you may get options such as: Show ID, Give Money, etc. or if you press E on a dropped item you may see options such as: Pickup Item.
5. The UI itself should be modular and clean, meaning that we could very easily in the future hook into it to create other interfaces that would match the overall theme of the gamemode. Think of a lightweight library.
6. The overall UI of the gamemode should not look similar to Helix. We are not looking for a simple reskin, here. We are aiming for something completely unique to our project, that would establish a recognition upon seeing it.

What We Supply

1. Access to our Linear (basically advanced trello) to be able to view our UI concepts.
2. Access to our Discord to communicate changes with the team setting up the project.
3. Project logos for integration into the framework.
4. Respective fonts we want used throughout the UI for uniformity.

AI Disclosure

Due to the increase in AI usage, we would like some agreement of transparency in the use of artificial intelligence when completing this job. Our personal stance is that AI is a tool, not a replacement for legitimate coding work. The full extent of how the work will be completed in addition to expectations will be discussed before accepting the job.

Payment

Payment will be issued upon work completion and any necessary changes made. The amount is very negotiable but must be agreed upon prior to starting the job.
