I don't need this addon on my server right now but I just wanted to say that it looks fucking awesome.

Would it be possible to pay for a custom model to use for this addon?

Reckon workshop's version really lagged the server with 40-60+ online, guess will have to wait tests performed by the customers on highloaded projects.

Would be amazing if the police drone could mark players wanted/unwanted with a cooldown/max range to prevent abuse.

I doubt you could use a french translation in the meantime ? Vyn

Utopia, AvoxPaine, The patch is now live, there are 3 new config variables for the gravity gun:

1. Allow players to use their gravgun on drones
2. Prevent players to use their gravgun on active drones
3. Allow players to use their gravgun on entities carried by the delivery drone

Ahah don't worry, there is a config variable to enable/disable it :')

I had some fix to do too, I'll upload the patch soon.

Oh— I meant it was pretty unfair if your items were locked onto the drone and unable to be retrieved. Maybe make it an option in the config?

B e n o The drones mod on DarkRP have never worked well with the F4 menu for my server. Consistent script errors and the drones weren't actual models they were just a bunch of props flung together which made trying to draw the entity differently not possible in a cl_init. Maybe it was because I was using the 2nd version but at least with this you get paid support.

I'm also curious about the same question Utopia had. I'm pretty sure he means something like "Can someone gravgun their items back from a drone that is carrying it if they are stolen?" because that would be pretty unfair.

The way we made avdrones allow us to easily create new drones and provide an API for users who want to modify existing one or create their own drone.

This is not the final version of the addon, we have planned to add features (like energy, drone pad, jammer, etc.) and new "available drones out of the box", like military drone, bomb drone and other ideas. (I'm gonna add a new tab to show next features now x))

The API currently only allow initialization/customization and interaction with drones, i'm gonna add the docs for creating a drone from the the base entity drone soon.

I guess you can wait the next version before taking your decision :)

Timmy Thanks ! If you're talking about the impact of the models on the server. The model is game ready. I made sure that most of the details are in the bump texture to limit the number of polygons. as well as other details like the ambient occlusion packed into diffuse texture and several masks directly integrated in the alpha to limit the number of textures. :)

Utopia I don't really understand what you mean but, the delivery drone can grab any entity (except players), ofc some entities are to heavy to be carried, you can still increment the "boostMultiplicator" variable to give it more power.

EDIT: Yes, it's possible but it will be fixed in the next version (today or tomorrow)

Timmy I tried to make it well and balance the logic between server and client. During our tests there was no lag and the movements were smooth. (If you were talking about the impact of the models on the server, i'll let Anthon answer you)

Can items be grabbed from the delivery drone before they're dropped?
