I personally would go for Teamspeak.

Personally I would choose Discord for various reasons.

Teamspeak has WAY better permissions. But for a lot of people it's also way to complicated.
I think teamspeak is fantastic, but when I create a server I always choice discord over teamspeak because it lowers the chances of someone not being able to get engaged with your community with the whole "What is TeamSpeak?" situation.
Discord is overall easier to use and way more convenient, but you can definitely achieve a very similar thing with both platforms.

Teamspeak is a better product as it provides more flexability for people who manage servers.
The only reason why I don't use teamspeak anymore is because the licence fee for $120 usd per year is not justifyable as I still need to pay for hosting of the server.
Discord provides a free service, its handy to be able to screenshare, stream and even have bots do stuff for you. Inviting people in is nice.
Teamspeak offers security for people who host servers as you are in control, discord takes away but it does have some advantages.
