Put terms and conditions in the invoice perhaps

#3

dosen't work like that , as even if you put refund on the invoice they still can ask for a refund . (as when you sing in ,you agree for refund for client )

#4

yes because of consumer laws and paypal's terms of service

#5

but i think on personel payment the sender can't ask for refund , the only problem is that i can't know wich countrys have that options

Whatever you do they can still do a chargebank via their bank and just get their money bank. Don't take jobs from random people and you'll be fine.

Is this just a case with invoices? As both a community owner and when gmodstore did payments through devs accounts, I had little to no issues with losing disputes. I've probably won 95% of all my disputes, and I've had my fair share. I've not had "invoices"/"direct" payments disputed before tho. Only ones done through store pages.

you are talking about addon payment , and am talking about freelancer jobs payment

is it possible to accept friends & family payments? refunding a f&f payment isn't that easy.

also im dealing with paypal refunds on a daily basis and if you show enough proof that the buyer got what he paid for, you will almost win the case everytime. (at least thats what i've experienced)

That's actually the opposite, friends and family payments can literally be disputed and lost if they choose the "I didn't send money to x" - mainly because it's not an actual business transaction it won't be protected under any sellers protection. (This is all sourced from a PayPal phone OP I've talked to in the past because of a friends & family chargeback)

The best way to avoid and defend yourself against chargebacks is to make sure the payment is ALWAYS "Digital Goods" under the transaction. Never try to solve it over the response center, always call them, and I've personally found more success with non-indian support ops closing the dispute/chargeback. We've even tested this a couple of times and I'm not sure why but most of the indian support ops will just not do anything. Also if your account is registered in the US you can email `[email protected]` (might not be the actual email, it might be chargeback, I don't remember) and they'll cover you on the $20 chargeback fee.

(and yes this applies to jobs)

call paypal straight away (just there regular number) ?. and there is an option for "Digital Goods" as i only see "good and service " . and having evidence of discord conversation will not count as evidence .

They have a number in the resolution center with a code you call. Digital goods are located somewhere in the invoice area, I haven't done a job in a while so I'm unsure if they moved it. Also never send your finished product over discord or any other app, use the invoice to send it, you can attach files to it and that'll prove that you provided the content they asked for.

but how paypal know that the file i sent whit the invoice is the same as the client wanted , and i think they removed the types section from invoice , and you can't send files, i guess you can only send images whit the invoice
