@Zackyo In the latest version I have limited it to 127 characters, the server you played on probably has an old version.

Not an addon, it was cl_hudreplacement.lua in the darkrp modification. I ended up changing it yesterday, removing return true worked. Thanks again for the help!

Does the Chatbox have a limit on how many words it can have? Cause the server i played on, i tried to spam the <avatar> and used it hundred times, and the server crashed.

Thanks man. I just came back to say it was not a DarkRP update, it is an addon. I will report back with the addon causing it.

If you have 2 chatboxes you probably have some HUD made by a shit coder. You should search for a hook called "HUDShouldDraw" in the addon and remove a line called "return true" which should be located at the end in the function that is located in the hook.

Works great but I ended up updating my DarkRP to the latest version off Github and now I have Atlas Chat and the regular chatbox active. Any way to disable to regular chat box? I tried installing the addon and had no luck, thanks!

Chewgum? How can i add ranks and icon in chat with them? I tried via settings set up ranks but it didnt work.

That is fixed in the latest version.

I think my friend bought this addon and told me someone ran a lua spam script and everyone's client froze and he couldn't even get to the task manager...

Mikey, your issue is with the gamemode you're using interfering the HUDShouldDraw hook. set the CHudChat to return false in the gamemode's HUDShouldDraw hook

Mikey has an outdated leaked one, that is the issue.

My text are still combined with the default and atlaschat, help, the default chat text shows behind the atlaschat text

I am a superadmin on a server with the same chatbox, but some chat commands that come with DarkRP don't really work with eachother. /me for instance. If I say "/me walks up to you" It will say it in normal text and then in the /me text.

I want a way to remove timestamp.. Where can I do that?

@GhostTown the usergroup title/tag system uses "usergroup" names. If you use ULX and create two usergroups called "superadmin" and "vip" you'd setup atlaschat with those usergroups. Why your usergroup did not have the title that you configured is because you probably didn't enter your usergroup name correctly. If you want this explained more you can add me on steam.
