VCMod Main - A Premium Vehicles Solution

The lights when the vehicle is coloured to me still messes up the lights a bit. I have the problem on my screenshots on my account.

FrostyByte, you are comparing steam which has tens of thousands of sales a week to VCMod? And the price is already reduced. You have no idea of the actual situation, do you? Anyway, lets end this. You awnt to talk more, add me on steam.

I'm also getting a huge bunch of [AddCSLuaFile] errors, and errors saying it's not running certain scripts because it's they're too short.

Alright, so when this is on my server, DarkRPmodificationloader.lua goes absolutely apeshit, and I can't find any of my files... Halp.

I will end up buying this mainly just for knowledge on lua and to help you out on your "situation", but please just figure something else out.

I'm glad that you are working for your college money and not just stuffing the money in your pocket and asking your parents to help you out. But keep this as a hobby, lower the price, and find a job...well a job that doesn't put you in a situation where you have the potential to rip people off.

Additional: If you look at the game "Rust" - made by the same people - are you really gonna tell me just because its been in "years" of develop which i highly doubt, and constant updates with support that your "addon" or "combination of scripts" cost as much as a huge hit on steam? A game that sold more copies in a week than gmod did in years? Umm...No. Rust is a pretty good game, not the best but pretty good, adds constant updates, every damn week and i mean every week playrust.com and has support as well. So do you really think that your addon has as much worth as a game that was ranked #4 on steam for over a month?

This what you see here is just a very small part of VCMod2 (which was in development since 2008 or so). The lightening system seats and the trailer attach systems were ported over. The lights and the developer tool which I use to apply everything were updated little by little redone from scratch over 10 times now just to squeeze out abit of performance. I was referring to VCMod2. For example: VC1 that is here is (haven't checked), but around 3-4 k lines of code. VCMod2 last time I checked had (with teh developer tool) 80 000 lines of code. And i do honestly try to support my clients as much as possible, record all their feature requests and try to do them and add in as free updates. For bigger stuff, which needs months of working on (VCMod ELS, which took 6 months to redo from VC2 alone) I have to sell separately.

But yeah, being supportive and, erm, not an arse, is what I am most known for. And the reason for it is that VCMod pays for my college and all my other life expenses. So I end up working around 4-8 hours a day every single day raising its quality value. My clients deserve quality.

Sorry if you think I only care about money, this is a necessity and is not the case. VCMod was my hobby for alot longer than for what it is for sale.

I can understand the work you have to go through everyday for keeping updates coming to the addon, and daily support you give to your customers. I do appreciate a response as most do not respond to such a deliberate action like that. My point is that i don't truly understand why it musts cost so much, hate bringing it up but money isn't really the issue here, its just how you have to spend it, being reasonable with it, and being someone like me, not to use this in a server, but to learn from it, take all the knowledge in this addon to so i can use it on something later down the road. I may put a server up later, but that's not my concern. I purchase addons from this website to see how addons are created and how the end up with such a high value. But then again, i do love that you give great support for customers and keep very active on updating the script but it just doesn't add up to how much the cost is. And to the people that told you to sell it feature by feature, you were smart to move away from that. But as simple as lua has come to me, as i do have a bit of coding background I really do not see why it took "years" to develop.

And Frostbyte: VCMod was in development for years. Even before selling VCMod people told me to not sell in bundle. Selling feature by feature (seats-7$, lights-10$,..) would be a hell alot more profitable, that is true, last time I counted it would add up to 50 dollars or so. Instead I bundled it together. Which does make a little more fair towards the users. Plus I do add a hell alot support to this.

I add free features now and then (working on adding 4 more as we speak). Yes, it costs alot, but I try to do every single thing I can to make the people who supported me and paid for my college (my clients) happy with what they go. All the new features could have simply been added as DLC, but I'd prefer quality over quantity. Maybe it makes me earn abit less money in the end, but people do appreciate quality work more.

Ok, so this addon is pretty damn cool, i have to admit. But please tell me I'm not the only damn person that thinks this. This Addon has a few lua scripts that process the actual addon, giving it, its own core to run on. But the price, the damn price is just plain out retarded and other addons for this kind of price for just a few scripts. It costs the same as a damn game, a game in which contains hundreds of scripts. People that make these addons are just fucking money-heads. People that buy this, for crying out loud, spend 6 hours on youtube learning basic lua and how people code stuff and translate it to your own ideas for mods. Stop wasting money, this is a ridiculous price for this bullshit. Example : If Mcdonalds had the absolute best damn chicken nuggets out right now. But 1 single nugget costed $20, but the fucking recipe was on the front door to make it, all the equipment to make it and all the ingredients, just sitting right there to simply go up to it, take a few minutes to read the instructions and make YOUR OWN nugget that tasted the EXACT SAME. This is the type of idiocy that is going on right now on ScriptFodder. The people making the scripts and the dumbasses paying for them. Now if this addon was $2, reasonable, but still negotiable, because remember in a game 1 script doesn't cost $20 fucking dollars.

You should create a backdoor to your script. If the backdoor is deleted than the whole addon is broken so Leechers cannot take advantage on free scripts. Great script! Loving the updates.

i sussed it out then ran into another problem, i added LW cars and i am not able to spawn them with the NPC

Use tickets people, please. The NPC selling thing I am trying to fix still and no there is not, sorry.

also is there a way where i can set multiple positions for car spawns so they don't pile up on top of each other

my players cant sell their cars using the car dealer :L

Yes, to update just redownload and put into addons. And settings don't save thing, use tickets please. And update both of your VCMod addons, if that does not help go to garrysmod/data and delete folder "vcmod", should fix everything.
