Car amount doesnt matter. The data is handled exactly as it was before in the previous versions (with abit more security). And the data does ntot download at once or even often.

I'm the only one having issues with people joining the game, as soon as they move or exit city hall server crashes at over 15cars spawned? Or is it my issue.

When we do "E" for my riding in a car in second seat , it does not work !

Server is protected by cloudflare pro, pretty beefy Digital Ocean server, no point of entry for attacks. Not even a mail server is present. All SQL strings are escaped, anti bruteforce is installed. Not much to brute force since there is only one panel and even that cant do much besides block servers, its also protected by 35 digit password.

And incase it goes down I have a backup semi-ready.

What happens when/if the host goes down? Isn't it pretty stupid not to cache the most recent version on the server in that case?

Passenger seats has been fixed and works just fine. Awesome new camera view with 3rd person, makes drifting more easier and realistic movement. One thing I'd like to ask Freemmaann, Please correct me if I didn't see it but there is no way in this version to strict cars for specific groups like donators, vips, staff, etc. Also for some reason my players can't access Car dealers even if vehicle is added to certain job. it says always Access Restricted. Thanks for amazing update otherwise, It's epic.

I didnt really try to. I just rewrote the whole system and the fix was a sideeffect.

To those who have been reading this exchange, freeman did contact me directly and we had a little chat. Unfortunately he hasn't done a very good job of convincing me that his system is secure nor has he convinced me that he "supports developers."

VCmod, at this point, is best used by those who have no desire or reason to modify the scripts/code themselves. Having to run custom vehicle scripts by freeman before they can be used is insane.

Lastly, nowhere on the item detail does it explain that the live update system is in fact a DRM system. Stated in the license when downloading the script, in section 2.1, it states that the software may be modified to suit the Licensee's needs and specifications. You've made it impossible for that to happen, and thus you are in breach of the license agreement.

The issue i have is that you claim that your system is secure without any proof to back it up. Anyone who runs this addon on their servers would be concerned about security, as no one knows you, your background, or what you've done to harden your systems from attack or a failure in your web server.

The fact that you think it was immature of me to come into the comments section of your script and discuss the issues I have found with the new distribution system shows that you do not take criticism very well. I speak plainly and I have a point. If you are offended by what I have said then you have not spent much time around a proper software engineering team. If I find a glaring issue with the product you have sold, I'm going to put it right where everyone can see. It's up to you as the developer to address the concerns pointed out to you without bringing emotion into the mix.

Customer support is my number 1 priority, developer support would be second. Sadly, its up to you if you wish to continue to use it or not.

Its not as easy to break into servers as you might think you know. Especially when you do not know a single thing about how my server even works.

And I understand that fact, obscuring simply is for diswaying your average leaker (it does work on that level), do not think its my only line of deffense tho.

Code itself on the web-server will be updated pretty regularly.

Unfortunately it appears that allowing developer support is not a priority for freeman.

How unfortunate, my co-owner is looking at it now. I use custom vcmod scripts for alot of vehicles....

I'd also like to make a point - security through obscurity is not security. Obfuscating the code is fine for thwarting skiddies from leaking your stuff, but you should not rely on obfuscation to secure your backend.

@StrickenNZ Yes, it appears all of that data has been moved to his dynamic update system.

Hi, does the latest update remove the vehicle scripts off the server?

@[DPA] Nutella That's not the concern - if someone were to break into his web server they could push malicious code to the clients/servers in real time without any checks in place to prevent it from happening. Freeman has not made available his network/firewall/server configuration so we cannot be certain that it has the best security practices in place.

@bob You really think freemmaann would scam us all? After all he's done for us with his amazing scripts.
